That looks like the Surf's Up penguin, actually. But you ain't right for takin it. Come on, give it back to her...she promises to root for the Red Wings!! (what the heck did the octopus have to do with the Red Wings? Who would use an octopus as a mascot anyway?) We're girls we don't know anything about these sports! I don't even know what sport you're talkin about...basketball, baseball, I don't know! What is this world coming to when people take animal statues!?! The MADNESS of it all! Lol! :)
Al the Octopus is the Detroit Red Wings mascot. A tradition started up in the 50s when two fans (fish merchants) threw a real octopus onto the ice for good luck. Fans still throw octopi onto the ice today. The octopus eventually evolved into a mascot for the team and was named Al after the arena ice manager.
Anyway..now that Detroit has taken the Cup...will Candie get her penguin back? :P
