Gimme that rig and I could do some damage to. I'll take SRV over him! Although he can play fantastic his music is like Steve Vai and Satriani boring after half an hour of it. This is the kind of music that draws a crowd of 500 ppl. 450 guys and 50 chicks.
You, my friend, are a cad. Do you mean to say composing pieces in a variety and scales, harmonies, keys and chordal inversions with soul is less interesting than 2 hours of IV - V - I with the blues scale over the top? Both players are soulful, both have there strong points. There is music I do not like too, yet I appreciate subtleties and musical mastery when I see it. Credit where credit's due, regardless of whether it floats yer boat or not.
@lydianguy Yes that's what I'm saying, and Ya know just that type of sound was once kinda unique but it's just not that interesting, like I said 50 chicks of a crowd of 500 and that's because the boyfriends dragged em there. What's a cad? Is that a polite way of calling me something more derogatory?
@lydianguy you are right, just look on his page he likes a pile of shit music :P i love andy timmons because hes creative and the other guy @nat00ben06 is hardly famous or anything... so he cant judge and he's probably still living with his mom
@77Hking Seems to me all my responses to my post on Andy Timmons are from GUYS! Like I said he's a good player for that style, I've seen him live 4 times in Dallas when he would play in Deep Ellum. Once again he sounds like Steve Vai and Satriani who I saw live last year 450 guys, 50 girls! Nothing from the waste down. SRV saw live once as a kid in 83' @ Reunion Arena. He was the best electric guitar player I've ever seen. I've seen Santana,Page,Beck,Clapton,Gilmour etc. SRV was #1.
I was AT this exact show and have seen Andy Many Times (20+) at music stores, Hooters (in his early days playing Carpe Diem),). He's a super nice and humble guy, btu his talent is unbelieveable. I have been figuring out many of his songs, recently Falling down (Another good one). He si just a ONE of a Kind. My other heros were George Lynch, Randy Rhoads, Eddie Van Halen (Early Days), etc but Andy just packs in so much emotion, it is hard not to be touched by it!
Andy my guitar hero..People can 'Cum' listening to your tracks.Awesome Unconventional style and sound, melodious bends make it Killer tracks. Keep churning em killer compositions and awesome tracks bro and thanks for those that you given the world already. \m/.Love you an you n ur work.
Funny how loads of guitar afficionados only discover Timmons when they've matured a bit. At least that's my story. I used to think Vai, Satch and Petrucci were the ultimate Ibanez gods once upon a time. Not so much anymore. Andy Timmons just oozes tone and his phrasing is insane. Totally hooked at the moment. Been listening to his two albums non stop for about a month. Can't wait to see him live one day.

@xxxEnterSandmanXxX ".....yet another clever input from andy..."
Like Erectacy not clever......juvenile. Great guitarist but a bit of a 13 year-old kid's mind.

They don't need a person to sing. Andy's guitar is the singer.

@Megadeth123 Kirk Hammett is a 2nd tier guitar player. He shouldn't be allowed to rate Mr. Timmons!
