Try playing triplets (hammering? not sure what the technical term is) instead of dead single notes with a pause. To fill the gap like. It will sound better. Nice tho
@stevecoyne1 Hi Steve - thanks for the kind words. My banjo, like my tenor guitar, is tuned C-G-D-A (4-3-2-1) - like a viola. It's short scale, so not really suitable for the likes of "Irish" and other tunings. :-)
No - the old version of iMovie I've been using isn't up to split screen. I've acquired a copy of Final Cut Express - which might do it - but I haven't had time to play with it yet! Cheers, Will :-)
Hi Guy - nice to hear from you. Enjoyed the Coo-Coo video! My tenor is a Windsor Popular No. 4 - dated about 1904. Had the tuners changed and a resonator and tone ring fitted. :-)
It has great tone . My first banjo was a John Grey I got on Portabelo Rd while working a pottery in Ewenny Wales .The year was 1970 !! All the best, Guy
The only other time I've heard that tune was when a band my brother was in called The Doonicans, did a version called Beggar Woman, some time in the 80s. Never knew where it came from till today. Thanks!
im doing this song for a skool play. fun to sing and play drums with

@BanjoMan1916 I often do triplets - I was actually playing this one fingerstyle so didn't really think in triplets this time! :-)

Nice going Will! Have you ever done a split screen with you playing all the parts in view simultaneously?

This kind of music sounds (at least for me) sad and on the other hand joyfull. In both ways I like your music very much.

I really like this tune. The video fades are cool. Might sound neat with a little squeeze box in there. ;)

I was very tempted to do that - but thought it might overdo things a little! :-) Will
