  • im doing this song for a skool play. fun to sing and play drums with

  • Try playing triplets (hammering? not sure what the technical term is) instead of dead single notes with a pause. To fill the gap like. It will sound better. Nice tho

  • @BanjoMan1916 I often do triplets - I was actually playing this one fingerstyle so didn't really think in triplets this time! :-)

  • @stevecoyne1 Hi Steve - thanks for the kind words. My banjo, like my tenor guitar, is tuned C-G-D-A (4-3-2-1) - like a viola. It's short scale, so not really suitable for the likes of "Irish" and other tunings. :-)

  • Beautiful! Thanks, b'ye!!

  • now this was very cool,,,i loved it~~~~,,goin to look for some more of your talent,,,,signed,an ole fiddle player,,lol

  • Glad you liked it - you'll find one or two traditional things on my channel... :-)

  • An excellent rendition ^^ Thank you.

  • Nice going Will! Have you ever done a split screen with you playing all the parts in view simultaneously?

  • No - the old version of iMovie I've been using isn't up to split screen. I've acquired a copy of Final Cut Express - which might do it - but I haven't had time to play with it yet! Cheers, Will :-)

  • Thanks. Someday I'd like to be savvy enough to work it out for student use.

    Peace, Mooh (Mike).

  • Go Mudcat .. All the best , Will yours Guy .

  • Hi Guy - nice to hear from you. Enjoyed the Coo-Coo video! My tenor is a Windsor Popular No. 4 - dated about 1904. Had the tuners changed and a resonator and tone ring fitted. :-)

  • It has great tone . My first banjo was a John Grey I got on Portabelo Rd while working a pottery in Ewenny Wales .The year was 1970 !! All the best, Guy

  • Wow! Will Brilliant! kinda puts a little tear in your eye..

  • J'adore!

  • Ho! You CAN have it all, thanks to the joys of technology! Very nice picking!

  • This kind of music sounds (at least for me) sad and on the other hand joyfull. In both ways I like your music very much.

    ;-) Roeleke

  • lovely picking man

  • lovely picking man keep it up

  • I really like this tune. The video fades are cool. Might sound neat with a little squeeze box in there. ;)

  • I was very tempted to do that - but thought it might overdo things a little! :-) Will

  • Thanks, Maybe on another one of your fine tunes.

  • Very Deeganesq !

  • LOVE it Will my friend. Just keep em coming. Big hug from your Viv

  • very nice!

  • The only other time I've heard that tune was when a band my brother was in called The Doonicans, did a version called Beggar Woman, some time in the 80s. Never knew where it came from till today. Thanks!
