  • Really good vid! Does it make any difference using a saw blade or another blade? A blade from a knife for example.

  • genius!

  • Necessity is the mother of invention, great idea.

  • look close. it's a spad bit with a hose clamp. the mother of invention EH!!!!

  • @jennymenuez it looks to me like he cut a slot in the wood the same thickness as a flat bottom bit and then used a hose clamp to tighten the wood around the bit.

  • @jennymenuez

I just spent a minute or two replaying looking for that detail myself.

@deaddager - I think you're right - looked the same to me - the hose clamp reinforces the outside of the slot and prevents splitting under the torque. Impressive++. bit a little scary unless you keep the hoseclamp "loose end" short because it sticks out as it spins around (if it's too long)

  • what would a foul mouthed yob be doing watching this sort of a prog he should be watching stuff for morons

  • Hoy abril de 2011 intenté por primera vez esta técnica para redondear una palo... y me resultó a la primera... mis agradecimientos a Noho91. Arriba el trabajo artesanal.

  • thank you very much

  • Lol. Is a dowel too expensive?

  • @SleptWithUrWife

    Lol, is grammar too hard?

  • @Mihuzaki lulz, really? That's what you comment on because I used a period instead of a comma? Idiot.

  • @SleptWithUrWife

Yeah, Because only INTELLIGENT people use "Lulz" and then forget to capitalize the I of Idiot.

    Fucking moron.

  • That, my friend, is a rudimentary Lathe.

  • bravo!!! ya tienes un seguidor

  • Looks like he used a flatbit and then cut a slot in the wood then to secure it he used a hose clip

  • Thanks for this ...Waht kind of saw blade did you use ? Thanks again!!

  • Good job man. Why should i torture myself with rasp if i have youtube and guys with nice ideas. 5/5

  • how strait are the sticks after?

are they straight enough to use as arrow shafts?

  • @jennymenuez

Looks like a spade bit fit into a slot cut in the wood with a hose clamp clamped around the wood and the outer edge of the spade bit.

  • i think he just cut a groove into the wood and slotted the spade bit in, then put the clap around it

  • Right, there was a round stick in there already! You can't fool me. just kidding, that is well done. I will remember that for the rest of my life. Two thumbs up.

  • You sir, are a genius.

  • that was fantastic.. coolest trick I've seen in awhile :D

  • Thank you for sharing that. I was trying to figure out how to do that.

  • Dude!

    That was awesome!

How in the world, did you figure this out???
