Also for the blacklillybee, the effects from radioactive materials can be felt as far as 50 mile radius so if you live in the area, your children you love so will develop cancer from this. Sure hope that your medical is very good. If you don,t live 50 miles from the site proposed, just keep in mind that they are not just looking at that spot, there are other spots and one may be in your backyard. So fight it...We all need to stick together, all people

I live in Pittsylvania County VA, and they are going to mine there for uranium as well, but we have been fighting against it for years and years but the rich corporations are moving in and are fighting against our statewide ban against uranium mining. There is nothing good or clean about uranium mining, it will destroy the land and everyone,s land around it, and also our wells for water, not to mention the effects of cancer from radioactive materials. What are we to do?

@norkalishd i think its being used for nuclear power plants mostly. the 'war on terror/ for oil' demands different energy sources and so the Department of Energy is going back to nuclear power
