  • great to listen to this

  • I must confess of all the tunes of the 80's, this piece was simply brilliant and is still one of my faves today! Vive Le Montreal!

  • Comme j'aime voir Marie Carmen se faire crisser un coup de belle dans face :-) Excellente chanson, leur 2 premiers albums sont tout particulièrement bons

  • I grew up in Montreal and this reminds me of my childhood. All thier songs are amazing, so 80's so amazing but this song has to be the best of all. Whenever i feel stressed at work i shut my door and listen to this song and i feel much better not sure why lol. Make more music !!!!

  • This song is what Videos SHOULD be.

Let's forget the whole dancing and prancing show that passes as video's these days.

  • I had completely forgot about this band, until now, thanks to you tube......I was living in Montreal when this came out 25+ years ago, It got a lot of airplay at the time but i haven't heard it since.....too bad they only came out with 1 album , but what a great one it was.

  • i heard this when I was a kid and thought "sweeet"

  • Must I always remember was my fave in the summer of 1984 in Vancouver, and I really liked Closer together...

I have never heard this song until now... and it was their biggest single ?

    Yikes !

  • say... say to me, please say that this can't be...

    great chorus!

    ah to be young again...

  • classic...

  • Da 80s!!

  • FANTASTIC!!!

  • Great band and great song.

    And I'm a metal head

  • Le Car!!!!! lol

  • the box were so underrated, and unrecognized for being a great group...

  • @chaseman12 I agree, so is the vast majority of canadian 80's and 70's music such as Gary O, Eye to eye The arrows, trooper Chilliwack, BLVD, Partland Brothers, etc. Can 80's best in world!

  • One of my faves of the 80's. Such a brilliant song!

  • MTL FTW

  • Where is: To What we Shall Believe?//????? I am having so much trouble finding it and it is the best Box song ever.

  • I love this band. xoxo

  • Oh man I forgot how much I loved this song...

  • ce sont des fans de gainsbourg?

  • I forgot how stunning Jean Pierre's eyes were... wish they didn't break up and went their own separate ways.

  • esti c bon ca...

  • formidable! vive Quebec!

  • The best part about this song is that different remixes had different verdicts at the end.

  • awesome and beautifull song sorry about my spelling but this song makes me think

  • I remember the first time I heard this song. I was scared shitless! LOL!

  • QUEBEC MUSIC SCENE RULES!

  • @bdcmagee I agree, like Box, Aldo Nova, Gino Vanelli, etc. All Can 80's music scene, 80's 70's early 90's rules!

  • Love the pep killer with the long hair. Looks like he could have played in goal for the Habs in the 80's.

  • Saw this band at McMaster University, they were awesome! A highlight in my school years. They sounded great live and had the crowd completely involved in the show!

  • Man, I'm on a 80's Canadian music kick. All this amazing music most of the world never heard.

  • super bonne toune pour des quebecois

  • love this song. Grade 9 for me. Highschool dance memories.

  • @2009sarahgirl thats so cool they played this masterpiece at a high school dance, myself graduating in 2007 never had a high school dance because of stupid safety concerns but at least their still playing this song sunday mornings on the retro replay radio show sunday mornings up here in northern manitoba!

  • Heard this over the radio and though. Damn I gotta hear this tune again. I never even heard of these guys before. But give me a break, I'm only 16.

  • So... at the end, is it the lawyer who murdered her? The scene plays by so quick!

  • Montreal progressive rock.

  • Unique and memorable.

Would love to one day see the entire video for "Walk Away", too.

  • 80's rules!!!!!

  • What freaks me out about this video is how Austin resembles Tommy from "The Room" and Elizabeth resembles (a brunette version of) Lisa! Austin even flies into a rage like Tommy does (though Austin has split-personality disorder, whereas Tommy is just retarded). Once you see it, you can't un-see it.

  • This song brings back fond memories of the late great CFNY -- Toronto's "Spirit of Radio".

  • Great Song!!!

Love it and bring memories for sure.

SAYYY< SAYTO ME PLEASE SAY THE MYSTERYYYY.

thank you for the great posting

  • Is there anywhere i can download their music?

  • I was in grade school when this song came out...

we used to sing a different version of it though, it went like... Sainte, sainte Julie, montre-moi tes gros tetons...

    ah memories :)

  • kurdtss, Thank you for your great musical taste and wide selection of old videos. I bet you have Mimi on the Beach, too!

  • can't find mimi on the beach anywhere, what's the internet for if i can't find mimi on the beach?

  • oui... je me souviens.. vive la Quebec.

  • je me souvien

  • the box all the time all the time all the time

    from mexico

  • simply timeless music.......artist ahead of their time........proud to say they are canadian and so am i

  • @newfieboxer77 Is this a true story? Looks fake, maybe is true

  • Heh... Definitely a good song but I have to admit the best thing about it for me is that it helps to remind me when my mother's birthday is.

"It was the 14th of October..."

  • @newfieboxer77 ils sont québécois!!! in first....

  • This brings me back.....I wish I could pull a liitle Back to the Future and go back to those carefree days of my youth!!!!!

  • Oh man... great song and a slick combo of 80's-sounding guitar, drums and synth. Nice groove.

Feeling very nostalgic when I hear this. :)

  • Awesome.

  • I remember this song from the early 80's! My youth all over again! ;-)

    Great song!

  • Que de souvenir !!!

  • GREAT SONG

  • Great song man -takes me back. Can you get hold of that love song "inside my heart?" - cool guitar at the beginning of that.

    Cheers

  • Ahead of their time. Period.

  • The guitar solo in this song is one of my favourites!

  • Awesome tune.

    Epic, even.

  • I remember this video in the mid-80's. The Box was a very underrated band and this one of the best videos of all time IMHO

  • Love this song. Love the band. Although their more recent stuff was weaker than this and My Dreams of You.

  • Fantastique! Forger Celine, THIS makes me proud to be Canadian!

  • love this song...fantastic old tune.

  • He looks like the President of Iran. lol.

  • fantastic old tune.........

  • Tres bien...I grew up near Cornwall, Ontario, and this was a huge single when CHEZ 106 from Ottawa still had integrity.

  • didnt think that i would hear this again. still remember every word.

  • hey, im another 18 year old, i just found the video too! Im surprised it hasen't been redone yet by any of todays bands, it's a good story.

  • the box is awesome, i'm 18, just discovered them.

I love walk away but it doesn't seem to be as popular as most others, was there a vid for it?

  • The Box est un groupe Montréalais pour ceux qui ne sont pas au courant! Nul n'est prophete en son pays!

  • This song has always creeped me out. Especially the video. The voice at the end of the song (I'm guessing it's the judge)has got to be the scariest voice i've ever heard. One thing's for sure, it has the desired effect.

  • Yes, it's the judge's voice at the end who says that the accused is not guilty.

  • @jocegir- ya the 80's were quite dark.. thats what I love about it

  • this group was a great group from québec, they had such good song like emily i'm looking for, if you got it i'd like to have it , thanks,

  • I may have the vinyll around...let me look

  • I think the song is inspired by a true case which happened in France, but I can't recall the details.

  • Never even knew there was a video shot for this song. Always pictured it taking place in the 19th century so it was interesting to see automobiles show up in the proceedings.

  • Thanks for posting this video,Have'nt seen it in ages. This is a great song.

  • this is just awsome quebec music, i wish to see or hear emilie from the box, i just cant find it anyware help me please,

  • Thank you so much for posting this! Saw their reunion show at Bourbon North - Jean-Marc still has it! And he's a nice guy too, will even take the time to stop and talk to an admiring fan on the street :)

  • yeah,we ran into him in ste. geneveive qc, a few years back, he is very down to earth

  • Thanks....

    Love it so much....

    XOXOXOXOXO

  • Is this video based on a true story? Does anyone know if this happened in Quebec to a young woman by a madman?

  • Chom 97.7 fm

  • i'm 21, just discovered tihs band. this song and "crying out loud for love" are quite good

  • Love the storie line to this song ;-) Dose anyone know were I could find the music video for "Live On T.V" by: "The Box"? I saw it on Much Retro a month or so ago. :)

    3 J's

  • Would be nice to hear this one on the radio now and again instead of the usuals - "Carry On" and "Ordinary People".

  • What station do you listen to? I don't even get those 2 songs let alone this. Usually you get the usual flavor of the week new crap.

  • 102.3 BOB-FM in London, Ontario. Also available in

Ottawa as BOB-FM. Called something else in

    Toronto JACK-FM Possibly?

  • Music from the 80's that is exclusively Canadian AND it has a storyline. Psycologically intriging!

  • I have not heard this song in decades. I am still amazed by the song's catchy tune and love love the video. Amazing band. Thank you for posting this!

  • i love this song. ! and i like "austins facial expresions"

  • How many of us have at some point or another found ourselves walking on that same tightrope? A very provocative video!

  • Thank you so much for posting this -- it mesmerizes me as much today as 20 years ago!

Non coupable pour cause d'alienation mentale,

    --Christine

  • Good song

  • Classic Canadiana.

  • Classic Canadiana.

  • One of the few Quebecois pop bands to cross over into English Canada. I remember there was some flap about them singing in English among the seperatists...

  • yeah, politics is dumb. Good for "The box" that thye chose to crossover and share their creativity and talent with Anglophones
