To be honest, this cannot actually be pinpointed today. Its the same with other sciences unless you had Einstein to help burst the examination. Without Einstein, we could not have known how old the earth or universe was or how long the earth or universe will last (It's fact that the earth can only live a few hundred billion years I think).We have nothing really to pinpoint when it comes to digging biblical activities. So when they say it can be 100 years off, it still is possible to be true.
Today's History does not point Ramses as the Pharaoh of Moses. maybe it did around 12 years ago but with new discoveries it's now over one hundred years off from being Ramses.
