I have to say on that fateful day. When my brother's older friend let us barrow the game and my bro suggested that I try to play it. If I had never take up that offer in that moment. I would never have been able to play the greatest game of all time. It changed my life. It set the bar so high, whatever it was... Holy fucking shit! How did you get Glenn to become Human again? Last time I tried to fight Janus, he just disappeared

@joeywomer You have to kill Magus in a one-on-one fight with Frog in the North Cape, 12000 B.C, right after you defeat Dalton and the Blackbird. After being defeated Magus give Frog his Amulet (the one Schala gave him in a cutscene previously seen in non-destroyed Zeal), and then he dies.

Personally I never like to kill him because he is such a good damn character, but it sure makes more sense when you are doing the Masamune sidequest if Magus is a goner.

There is a sequel - indirectly to be honest. Chrono Cross is for PSX and it has references to CT in it and there are things that can only be attained if you know CT well.

Also the character design is not by Akira Toriyama anymore, but by the guy who did Escaflowne.

You know what's disappointing about this ending? No Magus because he's killed! To see Frog in his human form again, you have to kill Magus and defeat Lavos without resurrecting Crono and crashing the Epoch.

But even then, it's nice when the supporting heroes are the ones that defeat the main villain, without any help and/or support from the main hero. After all, the main hero can't take ALL of the spotlight.

I never actually played Crono Trigger in my life, but I think you have to fly the Epoch close to the Black Omen, and after that the game gives you the option of either (a) crashing that thing into the Black Omen in order to reach Lavos faster, or (b) just landing it in order to explore the place like any regular level, and gain lots of bonus EXP, money, and items in the process.

when you select the time period you want to travel to in the Epoch, and select 1999 AD it gives you the option to crash it into Lavos, so you don't have to fight his outer shell
