One of the most common complaints - and questions I receive - from readers of my career books relates to resumes, specifically, "I sent it out X days ago, I haven't heard back...". I like how this allows them to know "why" they haven't received a response. It makes a huge difference whether the lack of response is due to not being read versus resume was opened (assumed read) and no action was taken.
