I admit that 約 can be translated as "date" but in this context it is more appropriate to be translated into "covenant" as the lyrics are obviously referring to Genesis 9 (If you haven't noticed that then there's no point for me to explain further...please refer to Genesis 9 first) 生命的盛宴 could be "abundant graces in life" 大地訴說你的恩典 could be "Your grace shown through the Creation"

@howbadisbadhow When we sing hymns in worship, we sing to God and we praise God and give Him thanks. Worship is all about praises, giving thanks, and reminding ourselves of God's graces. And the lyrics in this song definitely serve this purpose well in reminding us of God's love in His steadfast love and abundant graces for us.

Perhaps you'd also have to realize that people DO have different preference for different things and lyrics which don't appeal to you particularly may be encouraging for others

But worship is also an essensial part of Christian life (please refer to Genesis 12,13 and see how Abraham stumbled when he didn't "call upon the name of the Lord" and worship)
