I clicked on this link thinking oh whatever. Half way through I was thinking OH SHIT! As I was actually grooving to this shit. Who knows I could be masturbating by the end of it.
the intro to this made me get out of bed, run naked to the nearest car dealer, buy a 69 convertible mustang and drive down the road with the top off blasting this at full volume....
@SchenkerScorpions Listen to Film Noir, Old Haunts, Wherefore Art Thou Elvis, and Angry Johnny and the Radio. Those songs are similar to this, and they should also give you a good overview of their albums.
@spork1333 I told him that when i met him in Chicago then when i asked him if he would take a pic he said as long as i dont try to kiss him lol i told him i couldn't promise anything lol
And... Whenever a band makes it big? Just take a look at their shoes... When they wear the very same sneakers they've been wearing.. You know their heads and hearts are in the right place.
@watuchie Oh, I know!! Great point! Even though I'm a fairly new fan, I just love love love them so much. I saw them last week in concert and it was amazing. Do you know where I can learn more about the band members? I think I've watched all their interviews on YouTube, but I would like to know more about them...like who is the thief that stole Brian's heart while Anna was making up her mind? :) What a lucky girl! :)
I HATE YOU! I'm from the Philippines and I've only seen a few acts.... Just go to punknews! Or those other sites! You find so many interviews! My buddy who lives in Colorado though met them! He said it's like meeting old friends.. Well, meeting new punks is always like that... Meeting people you've always known, and just finding out what you've missed.
@watuchie No way!! He was at the same show in Denver that I was at!! How did he get to meet them? Lucky guy!!!!! I'm so jealous!! Although, if I met them, I'd be SOOOO nervous....even though they're super down to earth. I would LOVE to meet them one day!
I saw then in Portland about a year ago with Cage the Elephant & The Heartless Bastards. These guys put on a great show and crank out an amazing album.
very Bruce Springsteenish and thats a very good thing, you can also here elements of the boucing souls and a little social distortion in there music. they are incredibly talented
First time I heard Gaslight was at Lolla in August. Seeing them again in October with Murder By Death. Mainly, there for MBD but this band is definitely worth staying. Dude's got a voice.
I saw them a few weeks ago and they played the whole 59 sound cd other than that song, I was like, arggggg. But yeah, that would be awesome if they had a live recording like this one.
after hearin the song the '59 sound iwas just gunna write thes guys off as pretenders but the riff at the start of this song changed my mind, glad i gave it a listen.
I never read his comment. It's deleted. I'm just sharing that fact that there is some pretty cool late 60s stuff from the Boss. Like the Steel Mill song Wind and the Rain
Great song, probably the best I've heard from them so far. I'll see them live in July at a festival so I have to check them out... Definitely digging the Springsteen vibe. They'll go far, this is just the prelude, believe me... :) With this kind of music, it takes a couple of albums to find your own voice & sound and let it mature.

Yeah, I'm going to the show on the 29th, so I'll meet them then. Good enough for me. Be nice to see them in a small venue before they get huge...which if you've heard the new record should be inevitable.
Man, they were on the cover of Alternative Press. They're going on a European tour. Kerrang and Spin and Rolling Stone all said The 59 Sound was one of the best albums of this year.
