  • How long after Lasik surgery do you have to wait to have this procedure?

  • I had Laser iridotomy surgery for angle closure glauc. Nov. 09', since then I have a slit in my vision ever since. Its like looking out a window with a crack in the glass. I can make the slit rise up or down if I open my eyes wide or relax them. Its worse in a bright room or on sunny days without my glasses on. The doctors said they never heard this from anyone else before, and its probably floaters,I don't think so.If you have this surgery'' Research IT.cuz this SUCKS!!

    crack'd glass. Utica NY.

  • Chemtrails= Morgellons look up at the sky. Floaters in my opinion are a by product of Nano Fibers Chemtrail operations, threads fall from the sky some of the ones I've filmed are over 200 ft and are even balled-up at the end, so the entire length is unknown, certainly not created from ballooning spiders look up Morgellons. But be prepared to be majorly creeped-out

  • Very blessed we are that Scott had decided many years ago to challenge the dogma of establish ophthalmology regarding floaters, and undertook the necessary training in Europe. We can only hope that he will train other ophthalmologists to carry on this important work!

  • sign Cure for Floaters Petition

  • Is this covered by insurance? If not, how much do you charge?

  • enter in google "Cure for Floaters Petition" and sign

  • Is there any way to get rid of floaters?

  • how much for this operation?

  • Very very cool videos of you hitting those PVDs. Great work.

  • If flashes and or floaters increase quickly, you need to see a doctor right away!

  • @OphTechArtist what happens if u don't

  • @Gamer84651 Any sudden appearance or increase of floaters or flashes of light may be the warning signs of an ocular emergency. This is due to the photo receptor cells in the retina reacting to a physiological change of some kind. I can't give you medical advise as far as treatment, but from an ophthalmic triage point of view, those symptoms are important enough for you to get worked into a busy doctor's schedule.

  • @OphTechArtist * advice

  • @OphTechArtist i've been to the doctor like twice, once for my floaters and the other for my flashes, and she told me the exact same things.. they're harmless and you'll get used to them, but I don't remember the last time my floaters disapeared from my vision without me trying really really hard to get them outta the way.. if your an opthomologist then maybe u could help me figure out whats going on with my vision... that would be really great if you do.

  • Many physicians do not believe that floaters are a strong enough reason to subject a person to the possible side effects of surgery. Also, we need the vitreous in our eyes to hold the spherical shape and absorb shock from impact. We are born with just the right amount of fluid in our eyes, and changing the amount of fluid in our eyes may lead to complications.

  • The reason that floaters and flashes of light are monitored is that a sudden change in either may be symptomatic of a retinal detachment, which is an emergency situation. If a person has a retinal detachment, partial or full, and if they are not seen by an ophthalmologist right away, they can go blind. If they don't seek the care that they need, and experience a sudden loss of vision, nothing can be done to help the situation; blindness is forever.

  • @Gamer84651 They never go away. Just maybe stay from light and wear shades. Stop looking at solid colors

  • Im confused... I've heard they stay the same for the rest of ur life, u just have to learn how to ignore them or get surgery, this is also what my opth told me. That ur brain will learn to ignore them but they still remain and nvr change. But i've read multiple comments online where people state cases where theirs actually DID fade or sometimes even permanently move out of the line of sight and it's no longer a case of having to ignore them.

  • @Wallychans No sir. They will get worse with time.I have eye floaters since the age of 6-7.I don't know if it is connected to looking at the sun so often as a kid.Now after 15 years it is unbearable. It only gets worse. You can get laser treatment.50% chance it will cause another eye related problem. And it's pricey.

  • He says risks are low. But what exactly are the risks ? what are the complications ? Rare ? What does mean rare ? Reply me please, you would do me favor for my whole life

  • Sing with me. I can see clearly now the floaters are gone...

  • He's a joke!

  • Hai doctor. My name is Anoopms and i am from India.I had done my lasik a few months back for high myopia. For the first three months after lasik,i had no problem of floaters. But i have small floaters which are highly mobile.I consuled my doctor ,he said me to ignore it,but i cant.Sir,i want to know why floaters occur only after 3 months and not immediately after lasik. Is any treatment available for it

  • God bless you doctor. This happened to me in the past week and it's horrifying.

  • Help, does this really work? Anyone???

  • I live in CT. I know so well what she is talking about! I've had them since I was a little kid. But now, they are worse. I have a thick line that is twisted in my line of sight in my left eye for example. I have like a one cell floater that is dead on in my line of sight in the same eye. Each eye has so many floaters ...man, help! Is there anyone doing this in the northeast?

    Thanks folks.

  • Its funny to me that they say you have to live with it, when its making your life miserable, they need to start finding a cure for us people cause it sucks, and if they had this they would understand what i mean...

  • yes you are exactly right

  • @skux23 - Uh.... this doctor does have a cure for it! Did you not watch the video?

  • im 16, and ive had em since 13.. ive had enough . i can handle these fucking floaters anymore.

  • Same im 16 and had floaters too bloody long... its ruining my life, Seriously... someone needs to find Legit cure so i can see properly

  • @skux23 - Guys! This doctor DOES have a cure. Did no one even watch?

  • im 31 and i think i have them since 15 (or around...) the more you get mad about them the more you see them

for now it's about to 'ignore them' it's like an idiot, if you give him importance he will irritate more, is this the solution ? no, but looking at lasers and technology, soon or later we might have a good treatment :)

  • @ACMDevils - Sooner or later? Jeez. This doctor has a treatment right now.

  • they are irritating!!!

  • im interested in the treatment. do the doctors come to you or do you need to go all the way to florida? because that would be annoying.

  • @nuahsx - you've got to be kidding me. Yeah, he'll take all of his eye equipment and his huge laser machine, his office and his nursing staff and put them in a big moving truck and drive for several days all the way to Podunk, Anystate (where you live) and do the procedure at your convenience. And, I'm sure he'll do it for free for you, too! Speaking of annoying. By the way, use capitals when you start a sentence. What are you in middle school?

  • i am 13 and have this so annoying in school.

  • same here

  • i am 14 and tired of these things i need to see this doc

  • i have eye floaters and im only 14!!! i wanna c this doc cuz there soooooooo annoying!

  • chief, i just got mine about a week ago, they arent that bad but they are rlly distracting i cant stop watching them...im also 14 i rlly hope this isnt my whole life

  • same here, i'm only 14

  • I finally went to an eye doctor about my floaters yesterday, I have them since 2006. He says that being near-sighted (which I am) makes the chances of developing floaters greater. Luckily my floaters aren't a sign of any other problem, they're just a slight annoyance I have to deal with on a daily basis.

  • I've had 'm the whole of my life , and,in one good eye! ( wich makes it a double

nuisance, but learned to live with it,now I'm older they seem to get worse.

It's nice to know there's treatment for this.

  • Can it remove residual floaters stuck on the retina or lens?

  • Comment removed

  • i think i have floaters because when i go outside it looks like its raining all the time

  • i have floaters , i wiggle the eyes back and forth, people must think im strange when they see me flick my eyes around ! floaters are fucking annoying !!

  • Chinese water torture or getting your limbs ripped of is annoying. Floaters are torture. Hell!

  • how old are u ? how long have you had floaters ?

  • What is the name of this laserapparatus?

    The specifications please?

  • It is a LASAG Microruptor II. I use it in fundamental mode. Usual power is 4 - 6 Mjoules, 300-500 pulses in 5 shot burst mode per session. Are you an MD??

  • how much does this cost?

  • yeah i have floaters too..dunno y suddenly it appeared in my eyes wen i woke 2 weeks ago wich was on sun..freaking weird man!..any1 knows wat causes tis floaters????

  • @MEOWCI - Google is a wonderful tool. You should use it. You can learn many things.

  • is this already available in the Philippines?

  • does any one see spots along with the strands??

  • why would you want to get rid of your smily eye pals? floaters are interesting little creatures and we should enjoy them as much as possible. think of blind people, they would kill to have floaters! stop complaining, floaters are cool.

  • not unless the cause of floaters are from retinal tears, macular holes. etc. Some people have floaters that hinder their driving and might lead to accidents which might cause death.

  • lol yeah i kinda accept them into my life already. i dont remember exactly when they joined me but i was long ago, prolly when i was 13, iam 17 now and i got used to them. sometimes when iam bored i just look around and try to catch or join two "dots" just for fun. or sometimes i pretend the bubble like floaters are like gun sights and i aim at peoples heads and mentally shoot them lol...

  • I'm 14 and I can't look up and see a clear sky anymore because there's SO many floaters and flashes. They're annoying little things. I feel like shooting my eye out!

  • same here................

  • dude if there is flashes they say you should see a doctor QUICK!

  • @horseluver1903 Same i got them at 14 FML

  • @horseluver1903 i know exactly what you mean! IT SUCKS SHIT

  • @horseluver1903 Shooting your eye out? haha Thats funny! If you see flashes (not just floaters) you may have an actual tear. But, yes, it's annoying, feels like I wanna pull mine out too

  • im only 18 . these are terribly annoying especially when i read something .

Is this laser treatment available only for

    middle age people or over?

i dont wanna live with these floaters forever. excuse my poor english.

  • I'm 17. and I have those annyoing floaters for 4 months now. They Freak me Out but I try to live with them and not let those stupid floaters ruin my life.but its pretty hard cause I love Snowboarding and

  • i know how you feel

  • when did u start seeing floaters ?

  • i khow how u feel, im the same ive had them for 12 years now,, there no harm just annoying

  • I have many floaters in both of my eyes. I had these for 20 years now. I hate my floaters since these make my life miserable. Who do I contact? Where do I go? How much will this cost me? How long will the procedure take? What are the risks? Is there any statistic on the number of people that had this operation? success rate?

  • @tacotony24 - There are 3 doctors in the US that do this. Look up this doc's website and Google for the rest. All the information you want is available to be found in a few minutes with a little research on the internet.

  • maybe i should wait 20 years and see if they come out with better technology to cure

  • I've read only middle age (or over) people get them, but I'm only 25! Not only that, the only way to get rid of them is laser eye surgery, which is costly. But I was thinking of gettin laser eye surgery to correct my vision, since I'm short sighted. Kill 2 birds with 1 stone. I also read, if left untreated, can make you go blind. My PC monitor is literally burning a hole in my retina.

  • Hey, I'm 15 and i can barley read without seeing them flooding my vision. =P

  • Jesus. How do you cope?

  • wat do u do in sunlight ? how do you manage ?

  • I've developed floaters in both eyes over the past 3 months. The only explanation I can think of is because I'm sat in front of a PC monitor most of my days. I usually don't notice them, only when I squint. Or concentrate on them. And they piss me off, like sometimes I think a fly is buzzing around my face when its just the floaters!

  • i started getting floaters about a year ago, and thats wen i started sitting in front of a computer alot also, im pretty sure thats it i doubt its a coincidence

  • it has got nothing to do with computer

  • i've gone a lsik surgery, & after 2 months i have a floaters.

  • Thats one of the risks of laser eye surgery. Best steer clear of your PC monitor.

  • I have had Floaters all the way back as far as I can remember(at least 5). they have been with me for my entire life, and im 19 now.

  • I have a floater in one eye and it really is annoying when I work on the computer because it often gets in the center of my vision. I have to close one eye when I have to read a document thoroughly. How much does this treat ment cost? I have about 10 closely clumped together which makes them appear like a small insect.

  • man i'm 17 and i have more then 100 floaters, all different sizes and shapes. they change positions almost every minute. wat do u recommend ??

  • I'm only 15 and I already have floaters =[

  • i'm 16 and just got one

  • I have floaters from vitreous syneresis too. Lots of strands. It's a shame that this quality of life disease isn't publicized as much as it needs. When visiting my optometrist for a check-up on new floaters, the only thing he said was, "are you here for contacts or eye glasses?" Thanks for your work and taking the time to post these videos.

  • i have floaters from e vitreos liquificacion process.,+a particulary separat. of the vitreos from retina,(cause of myopia, 7,5 dpt) since 2 years, they are changing there possition week by week. they are about 20 floaters, i think, diffiicult to say., have the form of long lines..swimming in circles, when i move my eyes.,

can this floaters also be traetened successfully?

    thanks for your work

    A.B.germany

  • Nice. But does this procedure hurt? Any discomfort? Any Anesthesia needed? How long is this procedure done? Is there any treatment like that in Europe?

  • does not hurt it will change your life

  • We've heard this doctor has just adopted our technique. With time and experience he should be able to tackle the difficult and risky cases. But what laser is he using??

  • the same one you use..and the doctor in VA.all three of you are doing a great service for those of us who have floaters. Thank You

  • I had a very bad case of floaters in both my eyes I found a doctor in California whose name is Dr. Johnson he has all but eliminated my floaters with this laser.. my quality of life has dramatically changed, I had to stop reading for any long period of time.. now I can read.. my life has changed, I should pass this information along. this doctor's phone number is 877-487-4448 he is located in Irvine California

  • luke6938 Did you need more than one session per eye?

    (Sent you an-email also)

  • how good is this doctor because i live in NJ??

  • There is no real cure for this. Maybe you can split big onse in lots of less anoying parts, but if your vitreous is full with this shit, there is no real cure, except the vitrectomy, which is very dangerous, compared to the Laser, though the laser has also side effects. Nobody can tell me different things about lasers: I am in Hardware/Software Development and i know what a laser is YAG or whatever!

  • floaters look a lot alike the fibers in mogellons skin desease also in youtube

  • @csordie2000 - yes, but that is the only similarity. They are not related in any way.

  • Dr. Geller. I am a heavy equipment operator (in Canada) with floaters in both eyes that get worse year after year. It's getting to the point where they are starting to interfere with my job somewhat. I'm seriously considering seeing someone (not my doctor) about this. Any recommendations? I'm very encouraged by your video!

  • I have a vitreous detachment in my right eye which has resulted in floaters that frequently disrupt vision by making the sight cloudy.

Is your laser technique able to deal with the after effects of a vitreous detachment?

What happens to the gas bubbles that I see appearing and floating upwards during the treatment. Is this gas simply absorbed over time or does it remain -- potentially obscuring vision when looking directly upwards?

  • And what happens to the solid material that is created during the lasering process? Is it reabsorbed by the body or does it too remain as a number of much smaller and therefore less annoying/disabling floaters?

  • Dear Mr. Geller, you do a great job, helping people, especially when they cant stand eye floaters anymore. But what do you recommend when somebody has thousands of them in both eyes? A view full of them, that much that you really see some areas blurry,...not kidding! This is my case, really bad!

  • I've been learning what I can about floaters like yours lately, as mine are like that. From what I've been able to ascertain, there has only been limited success with treating the kind of floaters that you have described. I wish I could report otherwise, since mine are now at the point where they make me swat away 'flies' that aren't really there, sometimes, and can affect my job performance as a heavy equipment operator.

  • second of two posts:

...But if I'm not mistaken, they can get the larger ones that cause you most of the grief, though you'll probably just have to put up with the majority of them.

Someone please prove me wrong! Thanks.

  • im a very poor eater. is that why i get them? if i eat fine, will they go away? what about cod liver oil or kombucha?

  • Probably not, but give it a try anyway

SG MD Fort Myers, Florida, USA

    vitreousfloaters dot com

  • "probably not"? what a dickhead. why do u think theres people comin up with natural cures all over the internet. they're just "lying"? doctors. i love em

  • Since you have no education whatsoever on the subject, I gave you some information based on years of experience and education. You should at least respect that and not act like a petulant child.

  • Take the high road, Doc. Responding in this way makes you look petty and arrogant.

  • Newhere11, I just read your message here. Show some respect to the doctor! He posted his video and comments here for YOUR benefit. Do you have to name call just because you didn't get the answer you wanted? Act your age, not your shoe size, please!

  • he's biased. does he believe in natural cures? no. why would he? that way he wouldnt get paid a dime

so doc, why dont u invest some time into natural cures

  • I'll admit that you are correct about a lot of physicians. A lot of them are pretty much bought and paid for by the Big Pharma. I'll be the last guy to deny it. But there are a lot of good, honest folks that enter the practice because they really DO want to help people. I am under the impression the Dr. Geller is one of those people...

    continued on next post:

  • Last post of three to Newhere11:

But please try not to lump everyone with the title of 'Dr.' in front of their names in the same boat. OK?

  • w/e i need to go to a counselor because nobody understands me.

ive been miserable for various reasons for YEARS now. u think if i go to a counselor it can sort shit out and make me happy and not just inch closer on my knees to the day i die because i really feel like bein ANYWHERE but in this body and on this damn earth right now..

  • I'm really sorry, man. Really sorry. That sucks. You've probably heard this before, but don't give up. You DO have a lot of years ahead of you. Make the best of them. There are a lot of good things in this life that are worth pursuing. Gotta go - the wife's calling me.

  • im askin a question should i go to a counselor

  • Why are you asking me? Do I know whether or not you should go to a counselor? You'll have to figure that one out for yourself. I don't think I can help you there.

  • My wife told me that Kombucha(mushroom tea) became popular in Japan about 15 years ago. It seems to have taken off in the US over the last few years. There were no miracles in Japan and it just faded out. Some natural cures work, some are just fads.

  • id like an article that says its a "fad" type kombucha on youtube and watch the vids

  • htt p://i80.photobucket. com/albums/j185/toyoda_photos/mysfloaters.jpg

    that's what mine look like

  • Pupil Dilator Drops cause permanent floaters in the eyes.. please do not forget!!

  • Extremely rare, if ever. Don't believe I've ever seen it in over 20 years and tens of thousands of dilations.

  • The bottom line is that the ((Pupil Dilator Drops)) cause permanent floaters and no Pharmaceutical Company, no doctor wants to hear that, they are OK with their making money!!

  • I want to know about the herbel remedy ( if there is one ).My floaters are not so much but really anoying some times and my doctor

told me that they are probably from a stomach problem which I had and it reflects in the eyes

  • i'm from italy...in my country dcotors say that is nothing, but isn' t so...

  • Is there any way of using a herbal remedy to get rid of my floaters??!?

  • Is there any surgery available, or will ever be available to people suffering from floaters in Australia?

  • Depends on what it is exactly

    Scott Geller MD

  • If I look at street lights at night and make this big floater pass over them they refract in the floater and seem to bloom. I am only 21, and am distracted when driving and reading constantly! Is there anything that can be done for a young patient like me, Dr. Geller?

  • The one that I see all the time is a long string with little beads in it, and it is visible in the center of my vision nearly all the time. The other is a smaller string that appears darker and somewhat black. The third floater is a large shadow that I can't actually ever really look at, but every time I look from right to left in bright light I see a huge shadow pass over my vision.

  • I have 3 major floaters that are quite bothersome to me. I only have 1 good eye, and they have been causing me irritation since late 2005.

  • What causes floaters and blackspots in your eyes?

  • Pupil dilator drops caused the development of floaters in my eyes.

I am a very healthy middle-aged man, my eyes were perfect until 3 months ago when I went to ophthalmologist for a routine eye examination, my pupils were not dilating so they had to use 2 different drops of pupil dilators. The day after the visit I started seeing too many floaters in both eyes which still have them for the past 3 months, nothing improved.

  • Same thing happened to me nearly 18 years ago (got the floaters from dilation drops) and still have the floaters to this day.

  • My both eyes are full with floaters. There isnt any millimeter without them. After talking to eye specialist at my university they told me that floaters, even that much are not dangerous but in my case they are really anoying since my complete view is full of them. And best part of all: I am a software developer! I am sure that the Laser Solution is applicable for one or two floaters, but not for a complete view with floaters, thousands of dots, shapes, shadows, clouds. Welcome to the Matrix!

  • The option here would be a FOV, to remove the vast majority of the vitreous gel.
