If Popwell sounds like anybody, it'd be a combination of Boogsie and Jit - Boogsie, for the structure and chord usage in the jams, and Jit for the EXTENSIVE use of middle pans as well as adherence to the original song's structure. Arddin sounds like a mix of Pro and, OOPS, Smooth - check it, you have plenty tempo, bass-driven jams and CHROMATICS CHROMATICS CHROMATICS

Actually I stick to my guns about what I said. In the past other New York bands have used fireworks, pyrotechnics, firecrackers, smokescreens, and the like. Even this year Sesame Flyers used confetti during their song, so yeah stage performance does play a huge role. Actually it plays 40 points of a role, the same amount as the arrangement itself. So Sonatas isn't the only band that worked for those 40 but we went more for performance if anything
Listen your misunderstanding what a GENERAL PERFORMANCE is. It is a breakdown of 40 points meaning. 12 Points for Interpretation:Ability to creatively execute arrangement and all nuances. 10 points for Dynamics:which is split down the middle 5 for texture and 5 for color. 10 Points for creativity: The artistery and skill with which the ARRANGER modifies the melody and 8 points for Balance: meaning how well the ARRANGER orchestrated the piece. Thats straight from the judges sheet.
So where in the general performance section states how well choreographed or how audible a bands singing is? So far i've been here reading all these comments and i have yet to see anyone from ANY BAND say something with substance that has some type of musical reference to it. I know panorama is a show but since when has it turned into a broadway show instead of a musical war? I thought it was more about the pan than the presentation. Hence the term PAN-O-RAMA!!

On top of that a 10 point spread!? Now i like to give "Jack his jacket," and Sonatas did sound good no doubt about it, but not to beat anyone by 10 points. I've watched the band from in the crowd as well as alot of my other friends and Sonatas performance began to feel over choreographed. There was nothing that was spontaneous and emotional. Maybe im wrong but i know for sure im not the only one who felt that way.
After listening to Adlib CASYM and Pan Sonatas I have to say that Jit Samaroo and Boogsie has a strong incfluence on the arrangers of those bands. I know you guys are young but check out Renegades "Iron Man" and "Bees Melody" along with Phase 2 "Fire Down Below" and "Pan in Yur Ras". The arrangers took alot of Jit and Boogsies old music and style. I think its time for them to get their own style and way of music to keep pan moving foward.
