@MordaciousFilms it's not a stupid question. It's Lung Leg. The video is directed by Richard Kern who was a part of the New York film underground in the 80s. Lung Leg was in his film "You killed me first" and in this video. Check Wiki.
I don't think it was quite as simple as that or rather as summed up as that, people find their own way dotheir own thing and if any good get open to all the hacks, opinions when people are just simply getting on with it....the act of just doing.
It really irks me that for all intents and purposes these videos have been taken down or barred from being played, but they still show up on searches. If I can't have them why taunt me with it? GOD DAMN YOU UNIVERSAL!
Stupid question, but who's the chick on the cover of EVOL?

Sonic Youth in the 80's ruled, then came the grunge 90's and the arty crap of today that sullied their legacy

Actually grunge is great, partly inspired by Sonic Youth and appreciated by them too

Agree, Sonic Youth had a great impact on grunge, as did Hüsker Dü have.

Listen to A Place To Buryy Strangers, also a NY band. They also did a cover of this song!

I saw A Place to Bury live a couple months ago. They were the loudest most insane band I've seen to date. Sorry SY, but they were louder than you.
JaxMaster000 2 years ago
Well I saw APTBS, SY and Hüsker Dü all live and by far the loudest were the Hüskers.
Even 3 days later my ears were still ringing!

I had consistently heard Dinosaur Jr were the loudest cats on the block... but they were sorely disappointing.
JaxMaster000 2 years ago
@ForARide I'm pretty sure the loudest band is still Swans
