I can't believe people fought over whether it was Billy or Chris. At 0:36 you can see the similar facial structure to Chris in the Remake. But judging from the final game, They seemed to have taken this out later on.

@XxDrRouzzoxX This actually looked creepy and intense. I remember seeing those shadows of the sprinting infected, and thinking 'oh crap'. They had all this talk about the glare of the light impeding the player's sight, which was interesting. I was disappointed with the final product.

@NTom92 yep resident evil 5 was a good game but not a resident evil game even though i liked RE 4 5 was just a rehash, RE 5 was a wasted opportunity to show great horror game based on africa think about it kiling zombies in the middle of the jungle or a savanna while using a machete to cut down tall grass then boom hordes of zombies coming at you as you escape trough dense vegetation tension rises as you cant seem to find a way out this natural made labyrinth
@Elchamuc020 It was RE in terms of characters and story, but not gameplay. But the same can be said about RE4. I enjoy RE5 much more than 4 anyway. Capcom cut too much content from RE5, as it was originally going to have zombies, a Tyrant etc and it was also single player (its just Chris in early trailers) But then they thought of co-op, and they changed everything. It was always the same story of rescue Jill, but the gameplay was more horror like.
@NTom92 they didn't though of co-op they put Sheva cuz off all the people said it's rasist to be a white guy killing black people ,so they put a black girl beside you witch made the game easy cuz she could save you in difficult sittuations and that on the other hand took away the survivor element (then they put a co-op mode) and to top it all they decited to make it look like a action hollowood movie witch took away the horror element. Still a great action game.and re5 was the easiest re game
@Stef4o91 wrong. Sheva was there from the start, but after the racist crap they upgraded her from a supporting character NPC to a main character. If Sheva wasn't there all the time, there are many times where RE5 could have been scary. But its not all 5, RE4 took away the horror, and the survival element. RE5 seemed easier because the controls were improved (faster aiming, more attacks etc) and more responsive.

i remember when i saw this trailer for the first time, i said to myself that this was gonna be a great game (the trailer itself its kinda scary) ...but then capcom thought it would be cool to have co-op mode -.-...
I must be one of just a few people who actually have good luck with Sheva. Her AI seems pretty good in that she knows well enough when to take cover (e.g. during the Tomb Raider-esque temple portion with the sun beam laser). My only gripe is that there's no command to tell her to not shoot. That's not to say that she can't hit anything, because she can snipe spiders off my back like it's no one's business. Anyway, there are just times when I want to conserve ammo, and just use our knives.

@gexonas I don't know about you, but when I initially started with the RE games, it wasn't about the gameplay, it was about an awesome and interesting story. RE5 has an awesome story(though parts are a bit...off), so by the same logic, it's the same thing. Also, how insulting to the developers, I mean there are some really great things in RE5, and to said,"It's run and gun and nothing else".Makes me wonder why Capcom doesn't care about the fans. I hope the game stays similar as long as possible.
Of all the resident evil I played, RE5 is the best... "for me"... I like the plot of the game, the features and especially the co-op mode... I don't know why people keep complaining about the enemies.. they're saying that the game sucks because the fiends are not zombies anymore... If you'll think critically, capcom will not introduce another zombies anymore because umbrella failed in their previous experiment so the tendency they'll create a virus that will mutate more powerful B.O.Ws....
I'm actually playing this game with my boyfriend. Well, whenever he brings his Xbox over at least. It's the first RE game I've ever played so I'm not doing too much complaining :P It's fun.
Resident Evil 5 looks great but game play, story, controller functions etc....are seriously bad bad bad. I agree with darkelingjorge and that it surely was not in the style of Resident Evil 4, which to me is a classic. Big disappointment. Refund !!!
Zombies were originally meant to feature in Resident Evil 5 (the mysterious enemies from the debut trailer were zombies), which was to involve a much improved version of the T-Virus, allowing the zombies to run and attack in hordes. However, due to the inclusion of co-op, this was changed to Las Plagas' Majini as the co-op element required more intelligent enemies.
the graphics of re5 are brilliant, a pity the atmosphere and story dont come near the standard of resident evil 4. all in all, the forth part was much much better

@BrooksBoy56 one of the design policies of resident evil is that the character evolves. wesker for example has more bruises and chris, well he kept on training and became stronger.

Great trailer. You can see where they were coming from, trying to make 5's horror based upon arid hot sun, meat laying about, flies buzzing. Sadly the final product didn't quite get this across enough, they should have based more of the game in the shanty town, even some night time sections.

I think when this trailer came out, everyone got excited cause it loked scary and intense, then the whiners and complainerscame out, so the made less scary, and we were still ok at that moment, it was still gonna be good, then the people claiming "racism" popped out, So they had to put Sheva, now I dont think Shevawas all that bad, but if they play the race cards, we should at least get the scary part of the game back.
why couldnt the game be more like this trailer? Apparently the zombies became stronger in re5 and they had crimson heads trying to push chris off the bus, following you most of the way, the town at night was full of lickers you had to kill, a tyrant killed excella, chris was alone and jill wasn' t a bird lady, weskers weakness was his eye that got ripped out after his encounter with chris and jill in spencers mansion, sheva wasn't your partner jill may've had a bigger plot etc.
That was going to be the final game of Resident Evil before they changed it and made it the crap that RE4 is now. They were going to have Sherry be the one that was kidnapped and Leon would be investigating an abandoned Umbrella Facility in Europe where the Mother Virus was being experimented on. I just made a video about RE4's beta actually if you wanna see all the info.

I must be one of just a few people who actually have good luck with Sheva. Her AI seems pretty good in that she knows well enough when to take cover (e.g. during the Tomb Raider-esque temple portion with the sun beam laser). My only gripe is that there's no command to tell her to not shoot. That's not to say that she can't hit anything, because she can snipe spiders off my back like it's no one's business. Anyway, there are just times when I want to conserve ammo, and just use our knives.

@gexonas I don't know about you, but when I initially started with the RE games, it wasn't about the gameplay, it was about an awesome and interesting story. RE5 has an awesome story(though parts are a bit...off), so by the same logic, it's the same thing. Also, how insulting to the developers, I mean there are some really great things in RE5, and to said,"It's run and gun and nothing else".Makes me wonder why Capcom doesn't care about the fans. I hope the game stays similar as long as possible.

Of all the resident evil I played, RE5 is the best... "for me"... I like the plot of the game, the features and especially the co-op mode... I don't know why people keep complaining about the enemies.. they're saying that the game sucks because the fiends are not zombies anymore... If you'll think critically, capcom will not introduce another zombies anymore because umbrella failed in their previous experiment so the tendency they'll create a virus that will mutate more powerful B.O.Ws....

Zombies were originally meant to feature in Resident Evil 5 (the mysterious enemies from the debut trailer were zombies), which was to involve a much improved version of the T-Virus, allowing the zombies to run and attack in hordes. However, due to the inclusion of co-op, this was changed to Las Plagas' Majini as the co-op element required more intelligent enemies.

Great trailer. You can see where they were coming from, trying to make 5's horror based upon arid hot sun, meat laying about, flies buzzing. Sadly the final product didn't quite get this across enough, they should have based more of the game in the shanty town, even some night time sections.

I think when this trailer came out, everyone got excited cause it loked scary and intense, then the whiners and complainerscame out, so the made less scary, and we were still ok at that moment, it was still gonna be good, then the people claiming "racism" popped out, So they had to put Sheva, now I dont think Shevawas all that bad, but if they play the race cards, we should at least get the scary part of the game back.

(single player, with what appears to be actual zombies.) i was so happy when i first seen this trailer, like 3-4 years befor he game came out. then i heard that it was also co-op.... that made me sad. :( and when i got a copy of the game, (a week before it was supposed to) it was an inch shy of a load of crap.... the game had no fear in it. i felt like i was now just playing an arcade game. its sorta dull now. :( but thats just my opinion :)

Apparently the zombies became stronger in re5 and they had crimson heads trying to push chris off the bus, following you most of the way, the town at night was full of lickers you had to kill, a tyrant killed excella, chris was alone and jill wasn' t a bird lady, weskers weakness was his eye that got ripped out after his encounter with chris and jill in spencers mansion, sheva wasn't your partner jill may've had a bigger plot etc.
In short capcom you're pitiful.

That was going to be the final game of Resident Evil before they changed it and made it the crap that RE4 is now. They were going to have Sherry be the one that was kidnapped and Leon would be investigating an abandoned Umbrella Facility in Europe where the Mother Virus was being experimented on.
