@yunrocks well new vegas is an rpg with much bigger world and no vehicles, simialr enviroments and skills and chracters that you can allign with and get diffirent outcomes.
This is a SOLID fps title not a rpg mix like say borderlands with a good main story campaing and missions and sidequests for extra stuff and racing. Also smaller enviroments but more varied and racing.
To be honest, this way is better, becasue nowdays its either generic linear fps or rpg big open world gta clone.
I can't believe people hate on this game. The graphics are amazing, Carmack didn't lie, he said when you get up close the textures look blurry and that is a compromise but in motion it is the best thing seen thus far. First person shooters suffer with this a lot anyways. When your at a further perspective you don't notice bad textures as much. Not one area in this games looks like a copy and paste, everything is completely different from the rest, + animations! Nuff said.

@au25 The graphics for this game are incredible. Many professional game designers say that these are the best graphics ever seen on a home console. Not only that, but the gameplay looks amazing. I myself am I game designer, and I can tell you that every aspect of this game is a technical marvel, from the textures to the AI. Battlefield did it before CoD, and the multiplayer does have vehicles so it's more of a battlefield clone than a CoD clone, which IMO is a good thing. Id fucked up with doom 3, which was highly inferior to the first and second game.
Speaking of that lets take a look on doom 1 and doom 2 both are identical, second game added a new weapon and 3 monsters, thats it, apart from taht its the most recylcled fps in the history but fans consider it the best. When they changed the game with doom 3, fans hated.
And thats why they dont radically change the cod formula. Oh and id only has carmack the rest of the developers left the company years ago

@yunrocks well new vegas is an rpg with much bigger world and no vehicles, simialr enviroments and skills and chracters that you can allign with and get diffirent outcomes.
This is a SOLID fps title not a rpg mix like say borderlands with a good main story campaing and missions and sidequests for extra stuff and racing. Also smaller enviroments but more varied and racing.
To be honest, this way is better, becasue nowdays its either generic linear fps or rpg big open world gta clone.

I can't believe people hate on this game. The graphics are amazing, Carmack didn't lie, he said when you get up close the textures look blurry and that is a compromise but in motion it is the best thing seen thus far. First person shooters suffer with this a lot anyways. When your at a further perspective you don't notice bad textures as much. Not one area in this games looks like a copy and paste, everything is completely different from the rest, + animations! Nuff said.

I myself am I game designer, and I can tell you that every aspect of this game is a technical marvel, from the textures to the AI. MW3 has bland, generic and awful graphics and that type of game is ruining the industry.

@au25 Look, I don't hate CoD, I love CoD2, and CoD4, but that's it, the rest of 'em are pretty much the same old. Also, when I say the other CoD games are like CoD2, I'm not talking about the killstreaks, costumization or leveling, I'm strictly talking about gameplay and animations, they are the same. It's not being biased, sure they've actually added some sort of ragdoll phyisics but seems to just come into affect after they die making it all look very silly.

Sure it will make alot of sense to re do the same animation just to make it look "diffirent" For one bf animations are gay. For another, uncharted and assasin cred fall into that category too. Finally, doom 3, they changed it, people went back to the old one. I can point TONS of games like that. Changing the franchise is a bad idea, even the engine and animations matter. Eg blood 2.

@au25 I don't like animations in CoD because, I dunno it feels so stiff, while you're own examples, Battlefield (current gen), Uncharted and Assassins Creed makes the world & combat feel alive because I don't see two enemies die the exact same way, as an example. Although I suppose CoD isn't bad but you could do SOME changes every now and then. Also, Doom and other old PC franchises have very conservative fans, they are going to complain whatever happens.

@au25 Those FPS games you mentioned still isn't 90% of all FPS games... BTW, BC2 is still better than CoD, although I agree that CoD is better than Crysis 2, that game was horrible... As I said, not a CoD hater, while I wouldn't take CoD over battlefield, I still enjoy the split screen modes, and if I have to be honest I don't hate the campaign even if it's painfully short. But there are better shooters out there, Bioshock, Metro, Call of Juarez, Killzone, Resistance, and yes, even MoH.

I dont see how the games you mentioned are better than cod, they are not mp games.

@au25 Well this is a classic case of different opinions, also, MoH is not a shabby rip-off, modern setting? Battlefield did it before CoD, and the multiplayer does have vehicles so it's more of a battlefield clone than a CoD clone, which IMO is a good thing. Now I recommend that you gtfo from a Rage video if you don't like it anyway.

@crazycat690 Moh is a run and gun game with generic weapons, only one mode has a single vehicle, that is all. Levels are mostly small, One of them is even smaller than the ones in cod and the single player is a fucing joke, borring and shorter than cod.
As for rage? Oh i am looking forward to the game, and i mean ALOT but i got the fucknig brains not to god-lize what i like. I am a pc gamer and i have an eye for graphics. Sadly even mw2 on pc looks better than rage.

So you're a PC gamer that likes CoD? Well then, if you've been playing on MW2 on PC you can't compare it to Rage, because all the footage we've seen lately from Rage, it's 360 footage. You just wait until you see some PC gameplay. Although, even IF CoD had better graphics, Rage would still be alot more pleasing to the eyes.

Rage footage were actually from pc, you can even see a E use button appearing in the trailers. ALL of them were pc. While he is using the rc car it says "MOUSE1 TO DETONATE"

CoD is the same game every year with the same engine and graphics, and Rage looks like one of the best FPS for this year (And Battlefield 3 and Deus Ex Human Revolution).
