How to remove silencer from Yoshimura exhaust

When replacing an exhaust system, I've heard that the check engine light goes on. How do do fix that?

@shagy2k5 Mine didn't come on. That may occur when u replace the whole system without installing a power commander. Mine still has the stock header,

Yo mate ive got a yoshi r 55 and the little bolt that holds the baffle in is on the inside of the exhaust near the rear wheel and if i unscrew it im scared the bolt will fall down into the pipe as it isnt long enough to poke its head out the acess hole :-(

@olliethc1 unscrew the bolt halfway get some verry thin safty wire and loop it around the bolt hold the end of the wire or tie it to somthing and unscrew it the rest of the way it wont fall in if you tied it properly then just pull it out with the wire

I had hell with getting the DB killer out of my Leovince silencer, I had to get another tool to grab hold of the piece and use a hammer to knock it out. The sound was much louder and deeper without it xP

like airfilter or something? or is it OK just installing and WRUUUUUUUUUUM on ! ? =D

I took mine off of my Raptor and it sounds louder than any car you can imagine.

i have a hayabusa with stock mufflers .. i was told that i can remove the packing and baffle from it but i dont realy know how. could you please help me. plz plz plz plz . my hayabusa is sooo soundless and i dont have the money for slip ons or mufflers

@kk4299 My advise to you would be to save some cash for the slip on. If you modifie your stock one than you have on other option. Mine failed to pass the inspection test just because I had a yusi pipe. I put the stock back an dI passed. Had I not had the stock pipe I would have been in a problem.

@kk4299 muffler is probably held together with rivits on each end. you have to take the muffler off. drill the rivits out than you can pull the muffler apart. take packing out than put muffler back together

I got a gsxr 1000 k&n, and a dual yoshi Trc full system exhaust and still haven't installed my dynojet powercommander pc3. I wanna remove the silencer but will it still have the same sound. It sounds great and has a deep roar! Will it still sound the same if I do this?!?!?!??

would it be similar for a leo vince SBK exhaust for ninja 650? we have one of those lock screws, and we got it off but it still sticks with two people pulling on two pairs of vice grips.....
