Hearing Blake talk about how Ross 'fixed' everything, it sounds like she at least in part married Ross for validation. She had a bad reputation before Ross, and she knew it. Being with Ross put Blake in a better light. A rich lawyer's wife with two kids instead the single woman who sleeps around.

I think you are right about part of her attraction to Ross....she was always the "bad girl" and he was stuck in the "stuffy good guy" role - together, they sort of balanced each other out.

That is not what Vanessa said. Vanessa said the Ben bought the pin that Blake gave back at the Bauer BBQ. Ross ran home assuming that Ben would be there. He misunderstood what she said just like he misunderstood what he walked in on.
Everybody is talking bad about Dr. Bradford but she was hitting the nail on the head.
