Yeah the rev limiters on these cars cuts power it doesn't just keep bouncing off of red line like some cars. It's a safety thing. & on the SS 6-speed it has the skipshift feature to maximize fuel economy. I.e. If you are at 6k rpms in 2nd it will block out 3rd gear and force you into 4th because at that speed, 4th gear would be more efficient.

@JOHNzaSickNASTYBeast skip shift kicks in at low rpm and forces you from 1st to 4th. It will not kick in at 6k rpms in 2nd gear.  The whole point of it is to force you to keep your rpms low for best economy. 6k rpm in second gear is not very economical... but it sure is fun lol

The reason this guy went into fourth was because these cars have a feature that when you are low on fuel the car will sometimes lock out 2nd and 3rd gear and skip you from 1st to 4th. Idk if thats what happened in this case but either way its a fast/sexy car. Props GM.

Over rev? Aren't they DOHC now? They should be able to rev to 8k+. If there's a rev-limiter somewhere around there then there's an even greater margin for error.

One of my friends already has one at school and I love it but my cousin just specially ordered the SS convert. and I cant wait to see it but I love the new camaro (except for the bad blind spots) and I will be getting one.

yea I have a 2006 Mustang gt and my dad just got the new camaro SS, both cars have HORRIBLE blind spots. You can't even see a 18 wheeler if its next to you lol, so you gotta triple check when crossing or pulling into somewhere, same with the challanger. Only bad thing about the 3 cars is they have horrible traction, and not the best handling in tight turns. But they are still worth it.

Yea, I like the 06 stang. I have always wanted either a firebird, mustang, or camaro. Both of my friends I grew up with have stangs. One has a 2003 GT convrt and the other has an 2004 Mach 1. I have to admit the mustangs sound better than the camaro though.

yea I use to have a 2004 Mach 1 but I got it up to 110,000 miles and it was started to get lots of problems. So I had to sell her. THe mustangs do sound better stock but its just what kind of exhaust you put in. For this video this camaro is louder then 80% of the mustangs I have seen.
