man all those people are dumb. I don't see what's so great about the man. He's all talk and no action and he'll stay that way. Anyway I disagree with his politics regarding Israel which is why I don't like the man.
I know that he WILL be PRESIDENT of the UNITED STATES. I also know that a Black President is a major historical event in American History and will be an signifigant improvement in the morale of black people. We can't use racism as an excuse for why we aren't succdedding.
I tear up watching this video because this by far is the best remember I have from HU! There is no other place I rather have been then with my Bison sisters and brothers on the yard in the rain, celebrating such a historic moment.
HHHHHHHHHHH UUUUUUUUUU! Yes, there couldn't have been a better time for me to be a HU student than that night. I will NEVER EVER forget this experience!!!!!! OBAMA! YES WE CAN BUT YES GOD DID! Amen...
@MrSupasexi Regardless of if I believe he can still bring change or not, my sentiments at that point in time were much deeper than that. This was a historical triumph for the African American community and symbolized WAY more than just political victory. Clearly you're ignorant to this so you can kindly kick rocks...thank you and have a good night :o)
The weekend leading up to Inauguration Tuesday (1/20), is going to be off the hook in DC, all the clubs in DC are going to be packed! It's going to be crazy!!!
I remember marching across D.C. against racial profiling...and praying at the flag pole after 9/11... And now to see my HU fam CELEBRATING A NEW DAY with the election of Obama, I get a tear. No one but an Alum of the greatest institution in the world would understand how our hearts feel when we see HU, hear HU, or touch HU.
What a great time to be a HU student in DC. Please know that starting "we" must represent President Obama in everthing we do..."we" must make him look GOOD.
That's that HU knowledge. It's so true that everything we do must be done with excellence because now more than ever, all eyes are on us, and we are a reflection upon President- Elect Obama. Not to treat him as our god, but acknowledging that our community is on his shoulders, the least we can do is help strengthen him rather than tear him down.
HELL YEAH!!! What u didn't see was the drumline we put together in like 2 mins and marched all the way down U street with. I think HU invented like 5 OBAMA songs that night, lmao....
I was there celebrating too! Definitely my friends and I ran out of the Towers to celebrate. It was incredible and that is why I"M SO GLAD...I GO TO HOWARD U! But definitely was feeling the love and support last night, both Howard Love and OBAMA LOVE AND SUPPORT!
That's what I'm talkin 'bout! Yes we can! I'm a Howard alum and y'all made me proud! I watched it on CNN. I saw crowds at the White House and I was hopin it was Howard at the gates!
Led by Howard Students, we started the party here on this video ON CAMPUS --
Then we SHUT DOWN GEORGIA AVENUE!!!!
We then proceeded to MARCH from Howard to U Street - SHUT IT DOWN!
And then from U Street to 16th - and SHUT DOWN 16TH...
Then, proceeded to march straight to the White House --- 5,000 people strong! It was one of the most memorable experiences of my lifetime. Celebrating Barack Obama's victory.
to all you people that voted for Obama all I can say is.......... HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
