You know what's great about the XK? It depreciates like crazy. Jags have always had that issue.

Keep in mind, I'm not knocking that-I actually like Jags quite a bit. But what makes this great is that older XKs are now dirt cheap. You can buy an 07 coupe with the optional 19 inch wheels and all the other features for about $30,000 now.

You won't have spent much, but everyone will still think you look fly. They can't tell the difference between an 07 and a 2010. Win-win for you.

I think the grille on this XK should be the signature look for Jaguar, not the one on the XF or the new XJ. This one just loos better and is a tribute to the past Jags such as the E-Type or the D-Type.

Besides, I went down to the 2010 LA Auto Show yesterday and was shocked at how much cheap plastics that was used on the dash of the G37. A G37 is for people who just want a luxury car they can go from A to B for 3 to 5 years. An XK, however, is for people who want to feel their passion and heart during the journey between A to B for more than 5 years.

@normalais Actually I was just at the Silicon Valley International Auto Show, and spent a good portion of it looking at the new Jaguars. The brand is extremely impressive as of late, you should see some of the updated materials they are using in the new Jaguar's of 2011. Before this year, the XK never really justified the price but NOW it uses the finest leathers, the wood/aluminum trim is amazing quality, ESPECIALLY in the new Jaguar XJ sedan. That car is top-notch. So don't call Jaguar crappy.

The XF has recieved more awards the its rivals at BM, Merc, & Audi, every year since its release. BM, Merc, & Audi are established, thriving companies, whilst Jag has been switching owners & had to overcome financial problems. The XK is a fantastic alternative to the 6 Series, S5, & in the XK-R form the car is a worthy rival to the Maser GC, AMV8, etc, & now with new awesome engine line-ups, & the rising gear shifter, it just gets better. The S-Type's replacement was modernised, appealed to new buyers, included better diesel & petrol engines, & it made it an instant hit. The same was done for the XK & the XJ. Im positive the X Type replacement will be a crowd pleaser too...

i own 2 jags, absolutely not worth the money to buy new. The 2010 looks no different than the 2007, and a mint shape low mile 2007 can be had for $35,000USD, save your money and buy used.

DB9 and XK are two different cars designed by different engineer groups. DB9 is a welded aluminum and steel frame chassis, while XK is an aircraft type aluminum shell design. Arguably, XK design(body alone) is much more expensive to manufacture and require much higher level of technologies.

But hey, DB9 is a Aston Martin. A Jag is a jag.
