  • Thank you for enlightening others about the incomparable Dr. King. Yes, people want to water things down and make him more palatable. My one request from anyone who reads this is to show respect and remember that he was the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. He was a man who helped end Jim Crow. He won the Noble Peace Prize. For this great man, please show your respect by using his title. If you can say Dr. Phil, Dr. Scholls, Dr. Oz, Dr. Seuss, and Dr. Pepper (a thing), then you can say Dr. King.

  • He, like Mandela, was a genuine World Leader.

"Darkness cannot drive out darkness, only light can do that.

Hat cannot drive out hate. Only love can do that"

He lived his message, and his message is needed now in America and in the world more than ever.

    Dr Annie Coxon . London

  • Martin Luther King jr is gods prophet for all humanity, regardless of faith origins and skin colors. he speaks the truth about humanities role in the universe. It took me thirty years to learn the truth from you tube

  • So I wonder, was he killed because he threatened to overturn the apple cart of the economic system in the United States? If so, that elevates him from hero to deity in my book. We're starting to see people speaking out about economic injustice today too, but we need the critical mass to make it happen.

  • So refreshing. A leader with moral conviction, courage, real values. Really knew his Bible too. Did not have a staff feeding him quotes off the internet.

  • The greatest American in the history. An incredibly moral and timeless figure whether he was speaking and working against racist Jim Crow laws or the abuse of defense spending of the federal government.

  • I am convinced that if we are to get on the right side of the world revolution, we as a nation must undergo a radical revolution of values. We must rapidly begin the shift from a "thing-oriented" society to a "person-oriented" society. When machines and computers, profit motives and property rights are considered more important than people, the giant triplets of racism, materialism, and militarism are incapable of being conquered.

  • You people are a bunch of tools that don't know what a piece of shit he really was.Does anybody here have google?

  • Ms. Crutchfield is TOO fine! Lord!

  • Good Video..we have to go beyond the newspaper and television to get the entire story of Martin Luther King, Jr or any other subjects..television and the newspaper always give you one sided views..

  • SleptOnTv never heard of you guys until this vid and after viewing it I have instantly become a fan. I appreciate the showing of another side to King's work. I have often felt that the economic disparities which still exist in the U.S. would and did pain King a lot more than anything else.

One can just look at his experience in Chicago. During a protest there he declared that he had never seen such hatred. There was no segregation only drastic economic disparity. And a fiere resitance to change.

  • I'm related to rob jensen

  • Excellent video. Interesting that Dr. King never became a politician. Will we ever have a politician who will speak his mind, look for the truth whatever the consequences, and stand up for his beliefs? Is it naive to ask the question? I think we have to as a means of demanding what's right. This video is very powerfully done, style and substance. Thank you.

  • He could never have been a politician, he spoke the truth, thuth-tellers are never among the selected in politics.

  • No, but we can be proactive, and bring the case to the politicians' doors in D.C.. Send it to them regardless of party affiliation. If politicians knew that they were spotted and at risk of losing re-election, they wouldn't try much of the policies that they are. He would be happy to see us doing that, if we the people really go for the free-will charity and anti-war doctrines, and push the cause to Washington as he once was willing to do.

  • The worst misappropriation of King is when white right-wingers claim that he would have opposed attempts to redress wrongs. The second worst is when right-wing religious types invoke his name to oppose gay rights, thinking that because he was a preacher he'd be on the right-wing bandwagon with them.

  • were there any civil rights groups, e.g., CORE, SNCC or others cooperating with gay rights groups at the time (there were gay rights groiups at the time of the civil rights movement). 'gay marriage' demands are a recent event though. What about king's organization itself ? .....I don't think so.

  • @podzillart Apparently you don't understand the dream of this man.. You have not listened to the words of this man... If you have, THAT would not have been your comment.. This is not just his dream, but the dream of many American's & people around this world.....

    HOW ABOUT YOU WAKE UP!!!!!!

  • In high school I did learn a little bit about how Dr. King started to speak out against the government. I did not learn about the government's turn against him though.

Amazing clip though, but I feel that the opening line about how there was a different king we don't learn about existed, is a little off. I still feel that his movement shown in this video fits perfectly with the person I see as Dr. King. A human willing to stand up for whats right, even when all around him says to sit down. :)

  • I don't compare anyone to Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., not Lincoln or JFK or Obama; no one can hold a candle to Dr. MLK Jr., there has never been, nor will there ever be, another Dr. MLK Jr. he lives and will never die!

  • Thank for your video! It's very well!

  • "Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere"

I dont think enough people know about the REAL King, and I guess they made sure we never would.

I hate how his legacy is sugar coated and made "mainstream" and widely acceptable.

Adria is right, what he said then about the war was timeless, and very applicable to what is going on in the world today.

Another great SleptOn video, thanks for making people think.

  • Yup. Now Dexter King cut a deal with Spielberg and Dreamworks to create a Hollywood capitalistic blockbuster film to further marginalize the truth. If it goes through, I hope it shows the totality of King's work & vision and not climax at the March on washington then skip to his death. That woud be a major injustice.People don't know anything about him and it will remain that way. The media and educational institutions are hell bent on maintaining that kind of ignorance... it serves a purpose.

  • nice work guys!

  • Simply Outstanding!

  • Excellent. Reaching for the heart of a great leader.

  • a great video, guys.

cheers from spain - where we see Obama as part of Dr. King's DREAM -which is ours, as weel!

    all the best!

  • MLK, Jr. may be seen as Moses...Obama as Joshua...Onward and Upward to the Promised Land! Be a soldier in the army of Israelites. Wake Up, Stand Up. Stay Woke!

  • @FedUpSista

Israel, TODAYS Israel is the REAL terrorist of the world today... I'm awake, I'm standing, & I'm Not going back to sleep...I respect this man & his words..... Obama NOT so much.. If you don't understand were I'm coming from, then I ask you to dig a lil deeper.. PLEASE.

    Peace & LOVE

  • His great legacy was that he would march out front with the people, a real grass roots movement, then his commitment to non-violence which was his doctrine of war and finally his powerful oratory! thanxs, loved the vid

  • Great video! Hopefully more people are able to see it.

  • THANK YOU for posting this!

  • Great job! Thanks for keeping the truth alive.

  • Thank you for creating this inspiring video of Dr. King. I like to think I am informed but never saw much of these words by him.

BRAVO! We need more! your pals at Puppetgov

  • Well produced and presenting a much needed argument. Keep struggling!

  • Excellent!

  • it is called the NWO because that is what the power source refers to it ...

Here is what Kissinger said concerning the economic crisis

facing America, and the opportunity it presented Obama:

His task will be to develop an overall strategy for America

in this period, when really a New World Order can be created.

Its a great opportunity, not just a crisis.

  • tokotokotoko3

the STate or power source ... is the NWO

The drive of the Rockefellers and their allies is to create

a one-world government combining super capitalism and Communism

under the same tent, all under their control. Do I mean

conspiracy? Yes I do. I am convinced there is such a plot,

international in scope, generations old in planning, and

    incredibly evil in intent.

    - Congressman Larry P. McDonald, 1976, killed in the Korean

Airlines 747 that was shot down by the Soviets.

  • @sugarhigh678

Can I explain to you the NWO??? & why it is inevitable..I'm not claiming to know it all... AND I DO AGREE WITH YOUR POST... but there is more to the story..Way to much for just 500 characters..

  • We are grateful to the Washington Post, The New York Times,

Time Magazine and other great publications whose directors have

attended our meetings and respected their promise of discretion

    for almost forty years.

  • a socialist .. how so .. seems to me he would be standing up against the NWO if alive today...

he was anti State and pro-people ... what we need today ... Constitutionalists not the ends justifies the means ... that we have seen in the past ... the poor people's campaign is what the State fears today ...

individual rights ~ people having representation in government not corporations having representation in the executive branch and the legislative branch.

  • I don't get why people call it NWO. This video just makes it again clear that there is nothing new about it.

  • It would have been impossible for us to

develop our plan for the world if we had been subject to the bright lights of publicity during those years. But, the world is now more sophisticated and prepared to march toward a world government. The super-national sovereignty of an intellectual elite and world bankers is surely preferable to the national auto-determination practiced in past centuries.

    - David Rockefeller, 1991

  • how can i obtain a copy of this...will like to air on campus tv station...

  • This is the best piece I've seen this year!

    excellent, excellent, excellent work.

  • MLK was a socialist, but nobody seems to want to remember that.

  • now thats a generous (read: blanket) statement for the ages...

  • Oh he was definitely a socialist.

  • Yeah he was. And that's a problem?

  • Of course not, I'm also a socialist.

  • Dr. King definitely believed in a society which was based on people and not on materialism.

  • ...People are material beings.

    You maybe meant consumerism?

  • and INJUSTICE ANYWHERE IS UNACCEPTABLE! ~*~

keep on with the good fight!!!!!

  • great video! point well made.

    peace.

  • wow!!! Terrific video...

  • They need to play this on B.E.T. & T.V. One All Year Long!!!

  • This is great. Thank you for making it.

  • An excellent, salient video. It gave me pause specifically in how I teach this subject to my students and how I will celebrate the day. No watering down of the man!

  • The best...please keep this going...this is the Light that vanishes darkness!

  • Great Work!
