They should've waited until after the Ash saga was over before they did this revamping in my opinion. After that, they could take a big hiatus to make sure alot of characters would be placed in this game because right now the roster will reportedly only be 20. That's the lowest roster count ever outside of KOF MI: Maniax of course.

Mark of the wolves was right up there with 3rd strike in terms of playability. SNK knows how to do a good fighter.

Yeah, I definately think this could potentially beat Third Strike. However, Third Strike is considered the definitive 2D fighter. SNK have big shoes to fill when they say this KOF 12 will be the ultimate 2d fighting game.

You know as great as third strike is its not perfect. Gameplay-wise the game is awesome and addictive but most of the game is recycled from second impact. The backgrounds are boring and some of the more bring ones even repeat, the music fails to be memorable and necro sucks.

We need a 2d fighter to raise the bar.

I hope this game does just that. From what this video shows, it looks awesome. Some of the footage I confused for an anime. I have never seen visuals like that before in a game.
