  • Bad voice acting is badddddd

  • I like the little face that changes as kit's health goes down.

  • @magma107 that mechanic has been used in a couple of games. one that used it minorly that I can think of of the top of my head was the KH series. an older one would be the old banjo kazooie games. fun/ useless mechanic that makes you imagine that face. the LoZ OoT used such a mechanic, but not a face. link would act visibly fatigued if he was low on health.

  • ah! "Situation Oscar Mama Golf" Situation OMG! I see what you did there! XD

  • You're a little oblivious sometimes, Naka. Lol. You heal over time, and yes. Those are check points. :p

  • personally i love this game, ive run into about 3 glitches on the way to the end anyway. i only remember one vividly, in a cutscene, kit was stuck in civillian stance and her right side of her face was all misdeformed... it was creepy.

  • This animation... makes me think of a combination of Rachet and Clank and Reboot.

  • "oscar mama go"

    Me: ... "OMG?" XD

  • Over forty-minutes of the same song on loop and it's still the first level. The game expects you to read the webcomic, which I have, and know what's going on, which I don't. I can cut it some slack for being an indie game, but I think this is just one of those situations where a person wanted to make a good game, but for some reason, fell just short of the mark. With some polish, it could be good, but thank god for LPer's giving first impressions. It really seperates the wheat from the chaf.

  • well, this looks pretty fun. seems like something id like.

  • if her blade would be called breaker then would terraria be a reference to it?

  • This game looks like Elsword, a online PC game.

  • situation OMG, hahaha

  • Wow, this is a really challenging game when played on a keyboard. I got it on my PS3 about a year ago, and it's actually much easier with a controller. ^^

  • Seems they are saying OMG in code. =3

  • hoo ray!

  • Streamed on my birthday =D

  • Eh. This game played MUCH better with a controller. I actually played this with my PS3 controller. Had a MUCH better time playing this than I did on the keyboard.

  • 23:18 naka look bk in the video to.. 20:12 and look at the background.. see the Green X? also... 19:45 your facing towards the camera so i think you can.... somehow

  • "It would be neat if you could go into the background."

It would also be neat if you could press up and have the world turn to the direction you want to go. Tomba! for the Playstation did that long ago.

  • =)

  • shw sounds like asoka ankian aprratice from star wars the clone war the ammated one.

  • this game was great but I played the demo on both pc and ps3 and I found it was much easier to control on consol

  • My biggest problem with the game was that I didn't know it was a "part 1" until I purchased it. I haven't heard anything about a sequel being made and I don't like not knowing the whole story. Otherwise I had fun playing the game. I wasn't able to find all collectables but the rewards aren't worth it, in my opinion. It was better than duke nukem forever and I payed way more for that. >_<

  • IT'S ONLY A GIRL!

    ded, not big surprise.

  • I actually really like the look of this game.

Too bad it doesn't use Rockman X style walljumping, but eh.

Also, even though the opening picture looked like barely passable fanart, the cutscene and in-game graphics ain't bad.

  • Oh, also: I don't know if you can block the electricity or not, but I do know you had no stamina at 14:30 when you tried to block it.

  • Sometimes if game is running slow and you are recording with fraps, you need to swith to 60fps in fraps.

  • This game looks awful. The worst kind of awful, the uninspired. Everything feels like that. I knew from the opening cut scene that I would hate the game. It's not that a judge things early, I can just tell the signs of laziness. Watching the cut scene felt like watching one of those awful anime dubs they show on day time television, or worse yet one of the American show made to cash in on the stupid dubs.

  • they don't teach style at the school that blonde cow went to. or class.

  • any chanc of an Lp of this *.* PLZ

(P.S nice lokking game will look into it)

  • I loved the part where you said "And I got a WHAAAAT IS THIIIIIS!?"

That is one of the many reasons why I love your commentary, Naka :D

  • KITTY!

  • I still miss the chat in the right...

  • @CCCM89 Yeah.... even though he is right about not really replying to the chat. Still having in the chat at the side makes it feels "interactive"

  • It actually is a level-based game... Just if you take your time to to explore the levels, they are bloody huge. Incidentally, thanks for showing the teleport hidden in the pipe. I didn't know about that one.

  • I actually remember the webcomic.

  • @Shadowcat0161 There was a webcomic? Never knew it had a webcomic.

  • Frankly, I do not really like this game. It's not that bad, it's just... It feels amateurish. Like the developer wasn't trying to make a good game, but rather an entertaining one. Which I guess kinda works, it's just that I prefer good games

  • @TheZondac Well, games are suppose to entertain you. Not to good you.

  • @gigyas6 I read that and at first and I was like, "Whu?" then I was like, "LOL"

  • @gigyas6 That's a terrible way to word it, a good game entertains + more, an entertaining game wastes time

  • @TheZondac If you're being entertained and enjoying yourself, how is that wasting your time? My point is that if you're not enjoying yourself while playing a game, you shouldn't be playing it. Seems you get that, tho'. "Good" is a bit vague, especially over text.

  • An entertaining game entertains, which is the purpose of a game.

That's not to say some games can't be MORE entertaining than others, but I think you must have mis-spoken here.

Well, no, you actually must have, regardless of what I think.

  • @Phandiw See, tetris is an entertaining game. It wastes time. Some games are designed around wasting time. Games like farmville, The Sims and Minesweeper. The goal isn't the reason you're playing it, you're playing it to waste time. Some games you play for the story, which is a sort of knowledge, instead of the actual time wasted. Some games you play for the gameplay, which is entertainment. This is a story-based game where the story makes you cringe and the gameplay is really boring.

  • Your mis-speaking, then, is in your usage of the word waste.

Time spent in being entertained is not wasted, because it has been spent in being entertained.

If you seek to say that time spent acquiring the useless knowledge of a fictional story is any LESS or MORE "wasted" than time spent enjoying the gameplay of a game, your position is untenable.

  • @TheZondac What do you class as a good game as opposed to an entertaining one?

  • @CuriousMoth A good game has actual gameplay that's creative, a good game has a story that you're actually interested in, a good game isn't filled with bugs or easily exploited. A good game is something you can get interested in outside of actually playing the game. Blade Kitten isn't just that

  • @TheZondac So... Give me an example?

  • @CuriousMoth Any Zelda game except the first two, all the Megaman games, Any RPG with relative complex systems, Sequence and so on. To say it like this, I've completed this game 100%, and it didn't feel like I did anything. The game is basically on autopilot once you've bought the best sword and it's simply not rewarding enough. There's like NOTHING that makes you want to continue playing, as the story is uninteresting as crud and there's next-to-null drive in it.

  • @TheZondac Well, putting aside the fact that more than 98% of that list is composed of commercial games and you're comparing them to an indie game and calling the indie game amateurish, I'm gonna' say this:

Gaming's subjective. Some people like games which others find tacky or uninteresting, even within the same genre we don't all like the same games. Someone who loves Cave Story might despise Lyle in Cube Sector for its lack of story or hate VVVVVV for its unusual mechanics.

  • @CuriousMoth You clearly haven't played this game then. You'd know what I was talking about then

  • @TheZondac That's exactly what Zelda is like. Zelda Phantom Hourglass, the one Zelda game I've played, has a terrible story for 2-year olds basically, the levels can only be completed one way and after you complete the game it acts as if you've never completed it by putting the final boss encounter on the overworld. None of the NPCs even acknowledge your feat. Zelda is a bad game with no replay value.

  • @Cherrybloodsyrup I agree, all the DS Zelda's suck.

  • @Cherrybloodsyrup Only the ds ones are of such low quality. The console ones, such as wind waker or the more recent skyward sword are amazing games. They have a lot of replay value because of all of the collectibles that were likely skipped in your first playthrough. Not to mention the great story and length of the games.
