@chaos92z the tascam has a build in preamp. If you plan to use condeser mics it even has the requiered phantom power. I use it in combination wit a Studio Projects B1. Since i have a new guitar now, in the future i will start using the B1 primairily for vocals and the Gibson j45 through a fishman aura. Hope this helps.
