  • This is from an era when recording companies signed artists for their talent instead of appearance or attitude.

  • This song, which I have held so very dear for a long time, was on a 50's-60's compilation casette- I love it, apprarently life was much simpler then..

  • The only thing I don't like about the song is that its so short...

  • this is on mafia 2!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I'm about 20 years too young to love this song.

    but I do.

  • i don't understand the dislike. why watch the video if you don't like the song?

  • @xinkblotsX- I think the dislike was from Osama Bin Laden- he doesn't like anything! Ron

  • @rwells47 i think the dislike was for the sound quality,if its from the original record then the quality isnt going to be the best.

  • @drunkgorilla- you are right. It IS from the original record which is old. It sounds good to me though. I don't like to post videos if the audio is too distorted! Ron

  • I always said the poor quality of Records and AM Radio made these songs sound as they should and it just adds to the beauty and memories.

  • @rwells47 LOLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL.

  • @rwells47 that's cause it's not a muslim chant.

  • @xinkblotsX haters gonna hate

  • @DannyBoy71293 I really love this song and it just popped into my head tonight, sounded perfect to me.

  • You do know, folks, that the BBC is currently using this song for the ending theme of 'Roger and Val Have Just Got In?', do you not?

  • @7137666aeb Roger and Val Have Just Got is is soo unbelievably saddening. Its the best written show i have seen in years.

  • @SHawking666 That last episode really got me. They're such a sweet couple surrounded by so much unspoken sadness.

  • @tetris11boy Got to me so much more because I wasn't expecting it to turn into something so sad. Thought it was going to be a comedy, cried so much on the last episode.

  • A #1 hit for The Fleetwoods in April 1959. Well, the high school classes of 1959 were preparing to graduate. This was the first class that went through all four years of high school in the beginning of the Rock Era. It began in 1955 that summer when Bill Haley & His Comets hit #1 with Rock Around the Clock. And it is still going. Rock and Roll is here to stay!

  • @mkl62 You should go write a biography.

  • @Hurricane333 I don't think so. This is just a hobby. But I can do a follow-up. The Class of '59 is graduating and so is the world. A new decade is on the horizon (The 60's). What will it bring as far as the music industry goes? Or even in the world? Only time would tell.

  • @mkl62 I'm gripped.

  • This group made very pleasant music for sure!!

  • Nice song.
