  • The whole " i want you" scene is so cool, but completely terrifying.

  • The "She's so heavy part" always used to scare me when i was younger. It made me think that the soldiers werent going to succeed at protecting me from wars.

  • The robot army dudes are really creepy, even if they are real people with fake faces....but the producers did a great job with arranging the "I want you song"

  • Doesn't him talking about Montreal being cool to John lennons bed in? :D

  • I love how they did "i want you". its so amzing and artistic.

  • She's so...... Heavyyyyyyyy!!!! She's so heavy..... Heavyyyyyyyyy..... Dum dum dum

  • The French are ASSHOLES!

  • @scrubbles69able

i know right, what's there problem with us

  • i love how they took shes so heavy and applied it to suporting lady liberty and how her weight is a burden to those men (and women later on) who have to carry it risking their lives for our idea of "freedom"

  • @oEric32123o Other bohemians- you see them in the scene where Max gets the letter. I figured they were neighbours or just folks they ran into and 'collected' the same way they gather other friends.

  • lol g.i. joe much

  • welcome to the army, here's your chin

  • Stupid mlitary.

  • this is my favourite song sequence in the movie :)

  • what's with the big chins?

  • My favorite song in the WHOLE movie!

  • I finally understand what all of these Beatles songs mean <3

  • So Learn French! Learn French or DIE!!!!

  • I love I want You! Joe did a great job singing and he's hot!.

And I'm gonna be hated for saying this..I think this version is better than the original! :O

  • LOL, I love the look on Max's face when the Uncle Sam picture starts singing to him!

  • i think its kind of scary how they are singing that America is so heavy and it'll be hard to protect it in the war.

  • Ive always thought army men would make good robo dancers ;D

  • "im a crossed-dressed, homosexual pacifist with a spot on my lung" "as long as you dont have flat feet" hah lmao.

wats flat feet have to do with it? x)

  • @15sk8kid men couldn't join the army if they have flat feet because of the shoes or something like that...thats probably why he says that in the movie

  • @lovesababe Flat feet had to do with foot travel- there are two kinds of flat feet- the ones that are painful and need orthopedic shoes to correct and those that don't. The ones that cause no problems are permitted (at least now). Those with flat feet that would cause problems were disqualified because they would have more foot problems that would hold up the unit, given the amount of time soldiers spend on their feet.

  • joe anderson (max) looks exactly like Kurt Cobain. google it.

  • @mysweetjam6000 omg he does!

  • what war!!!!!

  • you still have options.

yeah, jail or canada, and they both suck!

  • Any reason you shouldn't be in this mans army?

I'm a cross-dressing homosexual pacifist with a spot on my lung.

As long as you don't have flat feet.

  • @0:13 what is that song?

  • @xlexbabiix

I Want You (she's so heavy)

  • @Dawsham Thank you! :]

  • the idea is that they are assembly line soldiers, all the same and easy to create and disposable. Many people believed that was the reason behind the draft.

  • Ok then good thing you don't have flatfeet that part is so funny ;) !!

  • This scene is so intense!

  • @kissmyARToxo, you dont have any reason to say "you idiot". i only made a mistake, whats the problem with that, learn how to treat people you idiot

  • I love the interpretation of that song! It's so cool how the choreography looks both military and dancelike at the same time. I esp. like how they put them on the conveyor belt, and that Max was shrinkwrapped and stamped. "Learn French or die!"

  • this part is kinda scary, but so awesome

  • yes, true. its a great version of the song. do tyou know that elvis join the army in the sixtie. the took him to germany, to occidental berlin

  • @MegaTom222 he joined the army in 58 you idiot

  • hmm they did actually not a bad job with this song

  • Scary...Looks like Robots.

  • Wait it's Prudance or something.. My bad

  • I wonder if that asian chick, Saddie, had something to do with John Lennon's clingy ex from back in the day.

  • I LOVE THIS MOVIE! But this isn't my fav part.

  • whats with the demon soldier puppets

  • funny what this song is really about lol

  • Im kinda confused, so if max drops out of college, he has to go to the army or something, can someone explain it

  • yeah if your in college they cant make you go into the army

but he dropped out so now he does.

  • when they had the draft back in the sixties, every man between the ages ages 16-35 who werent in school, were legible to join the armed forces.

  • @shadowgoo112 -Max dropped out of college and due to that decision, he has to join the army.

  • i want you has awesome choreo

  • 'Learn French or DIE.'

That just made the movie :3

  • why odd? this is a great choreography!

  • i was so dissapointed when this wasnt on the soundtrack. it's my favorite part!

  • this whole 'I want you' sequence is AWESOME. true cinematic art

  • @kellicon It was brilliant.

  • This is an odd video.

  • shes so heavy part was awesome. love this movie

  • I think that would be nasty if prudence and sadie hooked up!

  • movie would be 10000000 times better if sadie and pru hooked up

  • poor max

  • max reminds of kurt ALOT

  • no. never say that again please :)

  • the asian girl whats sadiee!!! shes a lesbian...

  • wait does the asian chick like max or the black dude? (sorry not good with names XD)

  • shes singing to sadie dumbass

  • srry overreacted it just that whenever i see this movie theres always oneperson who wont pay attention to anything and ask a bunch of questins that if they just read preiouse comments they would already know the answer to......wow thats alote of typing!

  • lesbian? how dyou know...?

  • because when thier singing 'Dear Prudence' thier telling her is ok to come out of the closit wich is a term to addmit your gay lesbian or by

  • um.. shes a lesbian. she likes sadie, the cheerleader in the beginning and rita (the contortionist) (:

  • mmkay... but why does she come stumbling the house saying she lived with a boyfriend... or a guy? don't remember

  • because shes either bi, or confused.

  • She's Bi

When the sister moves to NY, she says she doesn't sleep with Max or Jude anymore

  • so they kind of took the gutair & base from the Beatles' version of this song, i just realized. ;]

  • this part is good, but yet so freaky at the same time

  • this is the best part of the movie imo

  • mmmmm this song is mmm so sexy

  • It's so brilliant how they came up with this and made the story and songs work so fluidly

  • this is my favorite part in the movie. It's a very different take on the original song. i love it!

  • I don't know, it makes sense to me.

  • I AM THE WALRUS

  • i am the eggman.

  • Comment removed

  • lmao he wins

  • excuse me, but i am the walrus my friend(:

  • we can all be the walrus

  • heck yes!

  • what is wrong with canada in all the american movies they threaten to move to canada!

  • you can escape the american draft by moving to canada. hence the appeal.

  • Omg, so trippy how Uncle Sam pops out and sings!

  • That and "I'm a cross-dressing, homosexual pacifist with a spot on my lung"

  • "As long as you dont have flat feet."

    lol

    I love this line :-)

  • the song is actually called "I Want You (She's So Heavy)" by the Beatles and was on their Abbey Road album

  • "i have 2 options: jail or canada, and they both suck."

    lololol x]

  • Prudence is so fucking hot :D

  • what 's the name of this song

  • It's Called "i Want You"

    by joe Anderson

  • its by the beatles all the songs are by the beatles its the whole point of the movie

  • u mean by the beatles

  • I want you

  • ...Wow right before the song started I was like...those posters are really creepy. I didn't know the half of it xD

  • the best movie ever! lmao funniest scene in movie!

  • I love how they march...why can't the army practice their march/dance?

Then EVERYONE would want to join!

  • hahahaha hahahahhahaha

  • I love the symbolism.

  • Especially the "she's so heavy" bit.

  • Don't forget the awesome choregraphy !

    I love this movie!

  • Me too. It's like its a choreographed dance number type thing, but its so structured and intimidating. Its such a great contrast. I also thought it was great how they worked in things like the push ups into the routine for the story. And then the part with the statue was just amazing.

  • "i want you, i want you so bad~"

the army turned gay for a second XD

  • My mouth dropped when I saw it. I always loved this song and I thought using it this way was amazing, and visually stunning.

Haha sorry I like this movie a little too much.

  • My favorite scene in the movie.

  • How, does anyone find this wierd? He is in an Induction Ceremony for the Army, and It was all tests to see if he was army material

  • is he supposed to be on drugs or somethin

  • thats the point of almost the whole movie!

  • God, this is amazing. I almost can't handle it. =D

  • that's freaky!

  • Its supposed to show how uniformed they look and like the other one said they copied G.I. Joe

  • this is the 2nd weirdiest scence in the movie iSTILL LOVE IT THOUGH

  • only the 2nd, i thought it ranked at least 3rd after Walrus and Dr. Kite.

  • walrus i thought was well done (some spiked the punch) #1 is mr.kite for sure

  • i thought MR . KITE .

was freaky , but this song is reaaly good with effects and

WALRUS , they have bono .

who dosent love bono . haha

  • Learn french or die XD

  • why are all their chins abnormally chizzled?

  • I think it's because they're supposed to be like robots.

  • no they are ment to be like the Gee I Jo ( i think that is how you spell it.

  • I must say that I myself would never join the army, but I do support our military. They're out there risking their fucking lives to protect my right to say this, and they hae my un-dying gratitude. But if the draft was ever re-instituted... I probably would move to Canada LOL!!! yay for socialized medical care !!!

  • Yeah i totally agree!!!

  • that was brilliant.

perfect metaphor for the weight the soldiers have to keep on their shoulders.

    SHES SO HEAVY!

    amazing

  • this is so creepy but its looks so real this is really cool

  • ok. peace protests and peace talks will stop us, but they won't stop terrorists. so if we abolish all the governed armys, the others will just get a free pass to "burm and pillage".

  • ugh i already hated the army and now I hate it even worse. But boy, do I love the beatles and this movie....

  • the army has protected your ass. imagine if terrorists had no enemy...

  • Terrorists are an army. If we had no armies at all, we wouldn't have terrorists either. Same goes for the Nazis if you were about to bring that up.

  • there's a difference. Our army has political drives that can be changed. Terrorists feel that it is their religeos duty to cleanse the earth of any one who doesn't agree with them. They will stop for nothing. Nazi's believed they were "purifying" the earth of all imperfect people. it was a sick idea, but they thought it was their duty. All our army does is prevent these radicals from coming in and killing us all. And in situations like korea, prevent the conflict from spreading further.

  • But its just opinion as to what 'type' of army there is - if there were no terrorists and nazi armies in the first place, we wouldn't need counter-armies to defend us against them. And we build up armies not only to defend but to attack.

  • If there were no terrorists and Nazi armies we be in a freaking Walgreens commercial, about the perfect world and your right we wouldnt need counter-armies but this aint no freaking commercial so the Military is doing what it has to!!!

  • Uncle sam coming out of the poster+ Vietnam anxiety+drugs+The Beatles= some serious trippy shit.

i love this movie, its so rich in symbolism and detail

  • this comment made me laugh

  • Shes so ......... Heavy
