The spelling of 'didge' is a moot point as its a western-invented word anyway. Its probably just an onomatopoeic word. The real word for didge varies between each triba and with the design, so basically theres no 'real' spelling. Apparently, aborigines prefer the spelling 'didgeridoo' for some reason
