Peter proved one thing with his solo album. He is the least talented member of Kiss. He should be thankful Paul and Gene found him, if it wasn't for Kiss he would not have made a blip as a drummer. Kiss is a gimmick that just caught on and Peter was very lucky to ride along.
Actually, he is worse. I do agree when it comes to busiess Gene is a d-b, but Peter is an unbalanced thug. He is a whiner who acts like a bully and a baby whe he doesent get his way. His behavior is ruled by highs and lows of his emotion and due to this flaw in his character, he has done some pretty nasty things to some very nice people. I know several people who were very close to him and one of them was his ex-wife Lydia. I can tell you stories about him that will terrify you.
True, and I am not saying that he was a saint or anything. But when it comes to talent, I feel that Gene Simmons wastes his, and makes a mockery out of KISS.
The way I see it, they are all talented in their own ways. Many of you may see Peter as untalented, and that he sucked or whatnot. BUT, he also had his own style (as we can see on Beth, Hard Luck Woman, his solo albums)
Paul Stanley pitched HLW to Rod Stewart and Rod turned it down. In turn, Gene convinced Paul to let Peter sing the lead vocal on it since he had the raw, raspy voice to do it justice. An excellent decision. Catman rules!!=^.^=
people don't understand that the musician's money does'nt come out of the record sales. it comes from the merchandise and touring so he has to market KISS like he does becuase it makes his living and he can get away with it

This is an incredibly underrated song. Amazing emotion, great violin to accompany it. I remember as a kid hearing this and literally replaying it like 50 times. Peter Criss was my favorite KISS member.
Too bad Peter got into a drug-abuse! He is the nr 1 KISS drummer, with Eric Carr as a close second! R.I.P Eric! We will all remember you, when u and KISS' original lineup gets regonized in The Rock n Roll Hall of Fame! Btw why does people only regonize eric and the original line up? Bruce Kulick is cool and he was with them for over 10 years!
Peter was always my favorite and his album was my favorite of the four. The problem was that it was such a radical departure from the Kiss sound, that the hardcore KISS fans didn't really go for it as much and it ended up being the lowest selling of the four. Make no bones about it though, it's a great and extremely underappreciated album.
I know the reason Gene and Paul said Pete's Album sucked....it's called jealousy. Let's all remember boys and girls...Peter Criss was NOT a heavy metal/ hard rock musician. It was Pete's unique style that defined those early KISS songs.

All of the songs in the Peter Criss Album were overshadowed. I feel that regions that would have appreciated his style of music should have had higher distribution of his solo, so the music would have caught on more. As much as I love the other three solos, the Criss album does have a lot of heart to it.
There wouldn't be a KISS without Gene and Paul, they created and they will die legends because of it. If they hadn't marketed and presented KISS the way they did, none of us would be talking about the greatest band ever, on here anyways. Getting high/drunk, and missing rehersals
And gigs.
Many times in the 70's, they were replaced
Because they would not show up.
