Alas, the Harvest Home pub also in Whitchurch, Hampshire has now been demolished. It too did not have any planning application for change of use! Demolish first, ask later.

Friggin hell, what happened here? This was my local in the mid 1970's. I only lived just around the corner in one of those cottages which can be seen at the edge of a few frames. I know that the old 'locals' have probably died off by now - but where does everyone at this end of Whitchurch go now? I remember good times at this pub.

The application BDB/72095 to convert it into a temporary car park has been withdrawn by the applicant. There were 26 objections registered. The B&DBC has served notice on the developer to shut the site and fix the fence (it is too high for being beside a highway).

My husband and I spent many an evening before we got married drinking snake bites as this pub. We know live in the USA It should not become housing! Build another pub!

Desirable new properties close to all local amenities. Apart from a pub. This is indeed a dreadful shame.
