Something Chugga didn't mention: the Hitmonlee and Hitmonchan have Black Belts (which raise the power of Fighting-type moves). If you have or plan on using a Fighting-type, use Thief to steal them; they are the only ones in the game.

i had a magikarp, i told my friends and they laughed, but i managed it to learn tackle, helped a little, kept it at daycare til lvl 25, then trained it and at 26 i evolved it to gyarados :)

4:35 Gyardos has average defense. it maxes out at 282 under perfect conditions. i wouldn't say it has amazing defense. it has decent sp def. that stat maxes out at 328.

3:45 actually chugga, slowbro and slow king have the same stats. except their def and sp deff stats swap. slowbro's defense bass stat is 110 and his sp def base stat is 80. slowkings defense base stat is 80 and his sp def base stat is 110. all their other stats are identical. slowking by no means is more offensive that slowbro.

Another tidbit for this route is that the 2 fighters with the double battle (the hitmonlee and hitmonchan) have the "blackbelt" item equipped to their pokemon. If you use thief on one of them and steal theirs, the item boosts the power of fighting type moves (as a hold item, of course). It respawns each time you use the vs seaker on them, so you can get as many as you want=)

I captured a nice Horsea in Leafgreen. I brought it with me to my soul silver game. I traded it with someone. Then, a few weeks later, I saw a trade taht offered a Seadra. It was my own Pokemon, only evolved. That was pretty touching for me :)

Though I do agree. They hold a Thick club 5% of the time, which doubles it's attack to a rediculous level. With thick club, it has the potential maximum attack stat of 568.
