i have adhd and it is horrible. i was diagnosed at the age of 4. i have a horrible time focussing in school. i do not take drugs for it though because i beleive that i am who i am and  i want to embrace that. even my girlfriend notices my adhd though. i'll be talking to her and just like stop and stare at random things and people and it really sucks because i want to give her my attention but its so hard to. but yea i love your channel and the stuff you talk about. keep it up (:

ADD and ADHD are both just 'syndromes' made up by pharmaceutical companies in order to sell more drugs for all the kids that have a lot of energy and are absent minded. A learning strategist, as you called them, will fix all of the problems. 99 times out of a hundred it is a matter of not knowing how to control excess energy . I am in no way saying that people with ADD are stupid or that their condition is not real; in all but the most extreme of cases, it can be resolved without medication.

This OPINION is based on the fact that as a child I had what was classified as ADHD and was offered prescription medication that would supposedly correct the problem. My parents never bought them. Instead, they taught me good study habits which I still use to this day and they taught me that nutrition and lifestyle are important factors in controlling my ability to concentrate.
