The gap between the incomes of the rich and poor has been increasing rapidly over the last 20 years. The gap makes it almost impossible for the poor to reach middle class and the middle class to become rich. Aren't republicans for the continuation of the American dream? They do need some of these theatrics (i.e. drumming, etc.) to get media attention or to keep the protestors in a positive mindset. It's a shame the news media has really shied away from the more developed and eloquent responses by protestors. However, I'm not sure if this may have the same impact on governmental policy as the 1960's Civil Rights Movements due to the increasing effect of the free rider problem in contemporary times

Well, there're people there protesting real issues & there're people there partying who don't know what the hell's going on.
It's difficult to separate the two. The thing is, they're all doing what we Americans do when we gather together.
It is certainly telling of how we raise our children to behave when in someone else's home, though, isn't it? The protesters are trashing the businesses & streets without contributing anything to the costs of their being there. Who pays for their clean-up?

They do need some of these theatrics (i.e. drumming, etc.) to get media attention or to keep the protestors in a positive mindset. It's a shame the news media has really shied away from the more developed and eloquent responses by protestors. However, I'm not sure if this may have the same impact on governmental policy as the 1960's Civil Rights Movements due to the increasing effect of the free rider problem in contemporary times

Well they are sort of like your local bank opening a casino where a mob boss can take out life insurance on you even though he's not related. The bank can give him a trillion dollar policy on your ten dollar life, so he'll have the tendency to help things along and collect the insurance, only the bank was allowed to lie about having the trillion to pay him, so he gets to seize all the assets of the community. Our government murdered 3000 thousand of its own citizens so it could murder a million innocent people overseas and remove our liberties.
