okay, the snake is probably a family pet with it's fangs and venom glands removed, or they wouldn't be laughing when it bites the kid, he'd be dead in 3 minutes, or less, depending on how much venom is injected per bite...

That particular snake is a King Cobra, or and India viper male...(you can tell by the skin flap flaring around the neck that it's a male, females are also more agressive and have smaller flaps...

it helps to be a zoologist in these cases.
