I used to run until i get tired, then switch to walking, and then continue the same interval. My heart rate would go to 170 during those short runs. However, when I use those running machines where they add resistance to your pedaling, I kept a constant heart rate of around 140 which is slightly above my 65%, and I definitely sweat a lot more with this routine.
The info is appreciated PJ. I'm somewhere between day one and day 5, but I have been letting myself go and just having no regime whatsoever for probably 3 years.
I'm going to start following the advice in these videos to get back in shape. You mention you don't do much cardio, but you stress to do it in the morning on an empty stomach. The only thing you didn't really cover is, how many days a week, and for how long? (Unless that was the 50 minutes 5 days a week you mentioned)
@305BallerEJ thanks for the comment. I can assure everyone that this was definitely done in real time...5 days apart...that's why I used the newspaper in the first couple of videos.
It is if you've never executed every meal, every day for a week. You will loose alot of kg's in the start basicly because you lower your karbohydrates which makes your body to not hold to much water. Water = weight.
first of all PJ, I admire the hell out of you ... i don't think there are many fitness models or trainers who will challenge themselves the way you did ... you mentioned doing cardio first thing in the morning on an empty stomach, well i tried that and about a minute of steady jumping jacks i got really dizzy and felt sick. should i try and push through that, because i'm not an "athlete" but i'm a fairly fit guy, or maybe cardio on an empty stomach is not for me. what should i do?
@1arkenton listen to your body! try two slices of whole wheat bread (add jam or whatever if prefered) about ten minutes prior or a bowl of whole grain cereal. The dizzy and sick feeling is your blood sugar going crazy.
instead of talking about wat u did, its better that u film yourself doing it, people see so its more inspiration to follow, rather than just hear about it : )
You're like the human balloon, you're equally talented at putting weight on as well as taking it off! Big one week, slim the next lol. You can eat what you like for a month knowing you can just get rid of it the next and so on xD
