when I bought my 10-22 it cost me 45 bucks brand new when they first came out, I keep saying that I am going to do somthing like you have done to yours which looks very nice by the way, but it just keeps driving the tacs just the way it is so I just leave it alone.
All the meat it has brought home and all the shells that have gone through it would not fit in a full size truck bed I bed and it still shoots 1/2 inch groups at a hundred yards, nice video to
Nice gun man. That scope is insane! It's HUGE! Looks like you could see into space with it. Lob a bullet onto the freaking moon with that thing. Looks like it has x-ray capability as well.
I recommend Duracoat for your barrel...they have tons of different colors and glosses and its super easy to do yourself...it's made just for firearms and turns out great..
Bro sweet work, i gave my 10/22 to my 14yr old girl and she wants me to fix it up with girl colors, anyways awsome work on yours, i can`t wait to get me another one my self.
No, it does nothing to silence the gun. It's heavier, thus more stable on the bench, and it is not as prone to changes in temperature as a lighter barrel.
depends what you're using it for if the change in accuracy is needed. If you're just plinking you probably won't notice. If you're trying for headshots on small game at 75 yards, then you'd definitely see a difference.
A regular barrel is good for most applications, even better if you float the barrel. That'll improve the consistency and accuracy of a semi-auto rifle like the 10/22.
badass ruger man! I've been wanting a 10/22 since ammo for my m4 and ak shot up so high. Im gonna buy the reg. wood stock 10/22 for $185 and buy this bull barrel kit. love the look.
@kilamin Hi. I have tried the so called cold blue gun blueing kits. And to be honest, I have had not so good luck with them.In the end I ended up taking mine to a professional and had it reblued. Turned out fantastic, and it costs me 60 bucks. This was done on a Winchester Model 94 that was in rough shape. Hope this helps.
hey man great vid i actually have a Ruger 10/22 i have a aftermarket black synthetic stock i like what you did with the laminated stock pretty simple but clever. i have a fluted bull barrel its a matte finish. have the same bi-pod and i just purchased the same optic waiting for it to come, would you say its a pretty good scope? well though it was cool pretty much have the same weapon and i agree with your points well take it easy.
It's probably the most populare .22 rifle this is. The extra weight means more accuracy. You can find a base model 10/22 for about 200.00 in some places...I haven't a single complaint in ref to the rifle...good luck!
I have the cheapie $30 walmart BSA Classic (non variable power) scope, and i have the standard 10/22. with no mods it shoots about 2" @ 100yds, i pressure bedded the action and barrel, now it shoots 1/4" @ 100yds, which is probably me and not the rifle. I would just say to get the best scope you can afford, but keep in mind, it's a .22 rifle, cheap, fun, easy, and kids love 'em too!
very nice 10/22 i have one that is the protector of my vegi garden and your comment of buying a rem 700 in .308 go for it i have an older model it is a 700 ADL in .308 and it is a killing machine last year i plucked off a deer at 345 yards wich is not even far with a .308 but is not bad with a 3 by 9 power nikon buckmaster scope. Good video
I just got one of these today. How many times did you take it out shooting before you modified it, or did you modify it right after you bought it? thanks
It's a Shooter's Ridge Rock Mount bipod. If you have a Walmart near by, you can pick on up for around 40.00. I bought mine at a gun show, but Walmart sells them too.
I'm sorry, I don't understand your question. Inject fiberglass? Are you talking about bedding the rifle. If that's the case then no, the rifle has not been bedded, there wasn't any need to. Please elaborate.
They retail at about $260 at Ruger's site and they got some different models with some nontraditional stocks and they look pretty nice so you should check them out. But if your looking for the best deal you can probably pick one up used at a pawn shop for around $160 to $210. And if you look around you can find the Ruger 10/22, because it and the Marlin Model 60 are the 2 most popular .22rifles in the world and most pawn shops have a couple in stock.
I been trying to get a bipod for my Marlin Model 60. My buddy had a Ruger 10/22 with a bipod just like yours on it and I shot with it and it's definently something I need for plinking and squirrel hunting. But my buddy conveneintly bought his from a yard sale in Cleveland and I live in North Carolina. So my question is where did you get it or is there a website I might can go to, to buy it there?
It's a Shooter's Ridge Rock Mount bipod. If you have a Walmart near by, you can pick on up for around 40.00. I bought mine at a gun show, but Walmart sells them too.

Nice video. What is the brand of your bull barrel, and how much do they cost (.920) size? Also, what are the advantages of the bull barrel compared to the stock barrel for a Ruger? Thanks.
The Ruger 10/22T comes with the barrel already. You can get a target(bull barrel) barrel and stock combo for about 169.00 from bass pro. The bull barrel is definitely more accurate then the tapered barrel.

It's a Leaper's scope. I can't say I have anything negative to say about it. Whatever you do take your time in sanding it nicely and taking even more time to paint it.
Haha, it is stock. I sanded off the clear coat because I didn't like the wood color. Then I hit it up with 4 coats of Rustoleum flat black Enamel paint. I let that thing cure outside in the florida sun for two days. It doesn't come off even when using any type of gun cleaner. The finish is badass, trust me. Other than that I put a scope on it. I'll probably be modifying the bolt release when I get the chance.
Yes I just finished a custom 10/22 for my 11 year old son, the vids up on my youtube. Basic VID. He loves it and suprisingly I love it to. Not like a .308 or a .556 or even a .223 but very accurate and a lot of fun to shoot. Nice VID Kervyn...
I saw the video, it's a good thing that your son is learning to shoot. However, I think you're comment on calibers is incorrect. There is no .556, you probably meant 5.56 x 45 which is a .223. Anyways keep showing your boy shoot, it's a right of passage.
#1? do you have to get a special stock for the bull barrel, #2? how much did the barrel cost, #3? how much did the whole settup including gun cost................
I purchased my Ruger for about 400.00 out the door. The rifle came with the bull barrel and laminated stock all for that price. I've added the scope that cost me about 120.00 off of ebay. Don't envy anyone, just go out there and start shooting! Thanks for the inquiry!

not positive but I think a bull barrel is a barrel with the same width all the way to the end, with no taper.

I purchased my Ruger for about 400.00 out the door. The rifle came with the bull barrel and laminated stock all for that price. I've added the scope that cost me about 120.00 off of ebay. Don't envy anyone, just go out there and start shooting! Thanks for the inquiry!
