Lexus doors are sooo soft and lightweight. Interior is made of Grease and Oil. Lines are super clean. Wood looks super Glossy. Wood Pattern looks like a sheet of paper you can slice it with a Japanese Sword. Automobile Manufactures should stop naming cars ES, GS, EX because it looks horrific.

The worst thing about this car is the CVT transmission. I'll rather wait for the Infiniti M35 Hybrid, which comes with a proper 7 speed transmission, lithium Ion batteries, and one electric motor adding another 60 hp to the 3.5 litter 300 hp gasoline engine.

Beware! Measurements in my 2007 GS450h indicate up to 100 milligauss (mG) of electromagnetic field radiation (EMF)!! With proper shielding this is correctable. Toyotas position: this car meets federal regulations. This may be true, it seems there are NO regulations re EMF emissions in hybrids. We have seen Toyotas problems re customer safety---this EMF issue is still not addressed to my knowledge. (Also see reports of high emf emissions in the backseat floor area of some Prius models).

By the new 08-present EPA figures this thing is rated at 25 mpg highway.

This car is hot but for being a hybrid with a CVT and all, that's it? A much, much heavier SHO with 365 hp gets 25 mpg highway also and is roomier.

NOT saying it's better but I'm a bit surprised this doesn't perform a bit better.

Oh, I keep forgetting that's the Hybrid. See, the normal one (100% gas) can only get to 60mph in like 7 seconds. And a 0-to-60-in-7-second car really isn't sporty. 5.2 isn't exotic, or even high-performance, but it's a performance sedan with more luxury than the regular model, more power, and of course, a higher price.

Hello British asshole. Yes, the GS450h is fast, powerful, and luxurious. But not as fast, powerful, and luxurious as midsize luxury HIGH-PERFORMANCE sedans, including the Audi RS6, Cadillac STS-V, Mercedes E63, and BMW M5. All four of those cars, I believe, have more power than the Lexus GS450, and reach 60mph in between 4.2 and 4.5 seconds.

Yep, you are right about them being more expensive. Not quite $40,000, though. No, I'm not saying the GS450h is a bad car. It's fairly quick, fuel-efficient (considering its class of midsize luxury sedans), and luxurious. I'm just saying not to compare it to the high-performance German luxury cars, like the M5, E63, and RS6.

@MrJackanthony Its a nice car. I like its interior and I think the exterior is sharp looking. The problem for me is that its kind of...well, a bit boring.

This car is just under 60grand. Think about what you can get for that price. You can have a lightly used S6, E63 or M5, a new M3, Lexus' own IS-F, a Jaguar XF(or XK if you're so inclined), and so much more. Unless you really value the staid luxury this car offers, I would personally go for one of those and enjoy the exclusivity/performance.
