  • I have been finding black and white truffles in wa state. You should but the oregon truffles, about half that price. I have made truffle honey, vodka, olive oil, eggs, butter, cheese, and put some in your mayo and see how it makes a sandwich much better. After hunting and eating them, I know why they are expensive, and worth every penny if you know how to use them. Infusing foods make them worth the money. My first 7 truffles allowed me to eat truffles almost every day for 4 weeks.

  • Hmmm, what does it taste like? Is it like sweet? Bitter? If possible, try to compare it to a similar ingredient that tastes like it.

  • the closest i can get to is like is a unique smelling mushroom. The taste really pulls on the umami side of the palette.

  • A ten dollar chip of truffle seems worth it.
