Yeah, unfortunately, the bill that will likely pass is not the one (with a 'public option') that should have been past. Recent polls show that a majority would like to see a PO, so it is not surprising that this bill (without a PO) is not popular.
This isn't Gov't run HC. It more closely resembles requiring people who drive to have auto ins.
The only reason that ins. co. are so much more 'efficient' is because they fuck people over. They profit by not providing HC. It is a conflict of interest.
