  • Lulu is still in fine voice and can deliver. One of the best songs from the sixties which had so many great songs; better than any other decade. So, that means this beautiful tune has a lot of competition. Bless you Lulu for recording this and still being here to perform it once again!

  • Sidney was not an unknown star before this movie was released ,he had several movies before this one ,for sure,lots...

  • Sidney Poitier, unknown actors, amazing Lulu, who would have known! Incredible combination becoming a classic.

  • I have been having this song in my head for about 6 months . Everytime I am down or lonely , I play it. It always brings a smile to my heart! Lulu is amazing!

  • so this is beutiful music and woderful voice of LULU I,m so glad she still singing she is so great singer thanks ecoNpapa for this video first time I ever heard it was in New York city walking in manhatan with my pocked radio just wondering in the beutiful spring time 1967 and I realy enjoy the movies of "To sir with love" and the time pass by so fast but the memory still in my mind I love her voice good preformance of LULU love it God bless you .and tank you !!.

  • omg this is one of my favourite songs of ALL time - still brings me to tears every time...........

  • How old is Lulu in this clip? She looks incredible. And her voice has held up well.

  • I was a freshman in high school when I first heard this song in 1967. I fell in love with it then, and I still love it now! It brings back memories of simpler times, when feelings were strong, and friendships were lasting. In the fast paced world we live in today, one has to sit back, and remember life, when you were truly living it. Take time to listen to this song, and ejoy it with someone you love!

  • Lulu is bringing it, and she even tops this performance on Idol - What a treasure!

  • Seriously, one of The Top 5 Films of The Sixties, enduring and timeless.

    Amazing.

  • very special lady always loved her since to sir with love

  • LULU IS GOOD WINE, MORE YEARS BETTER, VERY GUAPA.

  • she is one amazing singer! She was fabulous then and very much remains so!!

  • i<3this film.

  • she is well keeped !!

  • Outstanding !!

  • You know I think they dressed down Lulu for this movie "To Sir with Love" and DID NOT want her to look too good !

  • @LilChuckyWoodenHead Judy Geeson was the one who played the "smasher." I think you're correct. But we all know there is more to being a smasher than just the way you look. Judy was lovely, but it's Lulu who belted out this very evocative song.

  • Next stop GLEE!!!

  • @joshuasalter1 how come? i dont understand your comment

  • She's the most perfect woman I know of.

  • This song will endure as long as school endures! It encapsulates the adolescent maturing and the crush all children feel for a teacher or two. A classic song with beautiful lyrics beautifully sung like only the one artist on earth could sing and do it justice - lulu.

  • Her voice changed, but not in a bad way. She sounds good.

  • Dam she still sounds good. I miss real music these day's!!

  • Its not at all about 'the relationship she had with her teacher'

It is the title song from the movie To Sir with Love which she was in, staring Sydney Poitier. It was Judy Geeson's character not Lulu's who was in Love with 'Sir' albeit all loved and respected him for transforming them from 'orrible oiks' to mature adults.

NOTE: To Sir with love original london version - not the later TSWL 2 set in the US and a bit crap not least for the lack of Judy Geeson and lost teh 60s iconography.

  • No..it's about the relationship she had with her Teacher.

  • is this about her dad? I've always wondered...

  • Hello Lulu,

Love you very much and know all yours songs.

    Love from Bursa-Turkey

    Mürvet

  • look at the blog ' diary of a wrinkle' of today ,and see why she looks so good.

  • Always had a crush on Lu Lu. Very sexy lady. Last time I saw her she looked sexier than hell but I think she had alot of work done to her, however, she I would take her out on my dime anytime.

  • I'm in love with this babe.....this time it's different

  • She didn't lose her voice. 16 year old girls can't sing as good as this.

  • singing great looks fantastic like peter pan of music in a girly way

  • Not bad for a wee Glesca Lassie

  • Teacher's Day in Thailand. To Sir With Love.

  • Après tand année, elle a encore une belle voix...wow

  • She's hot!

  • É uma das mais belas canções e interpretações até hoje.

Uma pena que este sentimento ficou apenas na ficção e não chegou de fato as escolas na vida real. Assim o mundo seria muito melhor, mais feliz.

  • Linnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnndo!!!

    Lulu é gata!!!

    Sempre será!!!

  • I absolutely love Lulu! She still has it! I am going to ask wmji radio about bringing her over for the annual "Moon Dog Coronation Ball." Its a very big yearly oldies concert in Cleveland, Ohio. People literally come from all over the world to see it. She would go so well with Peter Noone.

  • lulu, dusty, pet and sandie shaw, god they were very sexy girls, never really appreciated them as a kid, but now i'm an old man, really love there voices, and still find them sexy

  • Can someone please tell me when this was shot?

  • 1989, The Pavillion Theatre in Glasgow, Scotland.

  • lmao. but seriously, movies like to sir, with love, stand and deliver and lean on me, have always been my favorite kind of movie.

it's good to see the old gal has still got it, looks and that sexy voice.

  • Yes!

Some folks just get better with age. LuLu is a perfect example. Great Genes

And yes.. some movies just absorb you into it. And then there is the music!

This is a great movie but I can never imagine it without the great score "To Sir With Love"

  • a few nips and tucks can do wonders, too. lol

  • @creaturebotman

I am a great fan of LuLu but when you look better at 60 then you did at forty it has nothing to do with genes. And I am not talking about Levis.

    Love You LuLu. Sir David

  • SHE LOOKS FANTASTIC FOR 60 ...

  • thats an understatement!!...she looks hot!! haha

  • Lulu is a classy babe and downright jolly good singer, lovely song, and love to hear her make more music.

  • jane ,meljaxon. ladyheather . torndenim. casters.passasmoke. debbie and sue and lisa and carol and karen and linda and steph and all the girls in the office sing the form to boot lulu out xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxhello luluwasrudetome your lovely xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxlove the office girls xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

  • you're all one. you're found out. you don't wash. move on JaneAsher1 we know you and your group of non-existant selves.

LULU is in and you(all) are just out.

  • I kind of wonder whether Lulu was a bit under the weather during this performance. Her voice doesn't seem quite so clear as other times I've heard her, and it seemingly lacked some emotion. Maybe it's just me, but I think I've heard so much better from her.

  • your right, she was on American Idol last year and her voice was way better than this version. although we can't take that away from her since she is LuLu and there is only one of her. we all have had better day's at the office so I will give credit when credit is due. I can just imagine some idiot saying LuLu is all washed up and such, but hay, this is 2008 not the summer of 67' so let's say the "lady" has come full circle since that summer. I was 15 when I first heard her song on the AM dial..

  • I also say "you're right"...I think this vid is from the 1990's and it seems Lulu's been on a steady rise since, she seems to have recreated herself quite well. This particular video looks quite like a coming out of retirement performance to me!

  • What's your point caller ?

  • The point has been made clearly! This version looks previous to Lulu's upsurge which I think happened in the mid to late 1990's. Her consciousness here is not as broad as what we're used to seeing these days, more like a soccer mom out for a nightclub date. There's a big transformation evident in her interview in the Dusty Springfield documentary from 2000 or so...if you take the trouble to listen to (and watch) it!

  • Think this was just a low key version of the song, if you take the trouble to listen to it.

  • Sorry, I cannot relate to that. I have never performed "low key."

  • Lulu is fabulous; even more so in person!

Go sign our petition show your support for the sensational songstress!

  • GREAT!! LULU is just so dang cute !love her !!! thanx for posting !..Lyndloo..

  • Thanks for the video, Great Luluuu!!
