Play with the selector in the 4th or 2nd position, you get a much more 'Mark like' sound that way :) and practice playing hybrid or even throw the pick away all together cause they are 2 techniques every guitarist should master to become a better player :) nice guitar and playing regardless though :) you have some good covers!! :)

If you listen to Knopfler playing Sultans at various times of his career you will see how it changes with every performance. We only stagnate musically when we hang on to one single version of a song. changing songs to make them your own is the first step in writing your own songs and letting your influences shine through
