I just wonder if you guys are rly playing this game with volume set on MINIMUM....in real car you also hear the engine and not the loud parts in it...
Oh and by the way this aint no inside the g27 what an idiot get your facts straight or better yet open up your wheel and find that belt moron. Google Lenkrad JL-G25 and it will show you and exposed g27
No this is not normal the idiot who thinks this is normal been playing with a faulty wheel. My buddy g27 is quiet you can feel the force feddback not hear it like this video
turn down the force feedback, turns out the problem with the g27 is when you have a game, lets say burnout paradise (were it has WAY TOO MUCH force feedback) and you turn the wheel really fast, and really hard to one direction a belt will slip, or a gear will break, yours seems like the belt, when the belt slips the force feedback mechanism pulls the belts wrong, locks up & continues to slip, you need to call Logitech to confirm.
hi everyone, i have same problem.. the noise problem only when turning right. turning left is ok... so many people had a same ploblem.. this is not good..
The g27 WILL have clunking noise, especially on rally, and primarily only when turning right. Just like you said. However mine is definitely not that loud, it's just a slight knocking on the gears and doesn't bother me much. Should only be a click, not super loud like this one is.
I just got my g27 today and it did the same thing at first. Playing F1 2010 on PS3. I went into the settings and turned down the Environmental Effects setting from 100% to 10%. Made a huge difference. It now doesnt feel as though you are driving a tank through a muddy field.
The game you are playing must have an equivalent setting, find it and turn it down or off, it seems to be trying to simulate the feel of gravel, mud e.t.c. IMO it doesnt work well, when it is set too high.Hope this helps
Of course this is not normal. It is obvious gears which are skipping. Also it only happens when steering to the right. Not to the left. When steering to the left, FFB is also applied (you can feel it) but the gears don't skip.
That is not normal behaviour. i disassembled it and found out that the motor axels got loose and are caussing that horrible noise. It can not be repaired unless the motors are replaced. Btw. my g25 works perfectly for 3 years. Looks like logitech messed up the g27.
any news about this issue? mine does the same with grid and dirt 2. I replaced it but the new one got the same problem. in grid and dirt 2 the force weight and environment effect makes this sound.

Maybe GT5 doesn't officially support/sign the G27 for a reason.

ok now i have tested the G27 with GT5 rallies, and i have the same noise, I think this is a GT5 problem, I wont play rallies with G27 for now...
Hope Kaz from GT5 finally fix some issues with G27 and GT5.

I hope not. The problem is with the gears which 'skip' when force feed back is working.
