Yeah, I just want to confirm that NOT ALL 1.6 players are close-minded as fuck, as I'm happily going to be getting this as soon as it is released. This is the type of game that the industry needs right now, a new CS with the support of Team Fortress 2, but focused primarily on competitive gameplay. Sure, It'll be more accessible. But it may be even deeper than 1.6 could have ever been. Even if it sucks on day 1, it will be fixed. Trust me, Valve knows what to do. They have since 1999.

Remove Decoy, 1 Kit per Team, Cocktail, Tazer and power up the Rifles like in Source, and power up SMGs a bit.. then you have a good game <3 Thumbs up so they can see :D
@MiztahHaughom 1 kit per team and taser shall go out really. But molotov and decoy are good, both last 5 secs only, and decoy can't fake anything alone you need a smart move to make it work, like one or two Ts using decoy to appear like a whole rush, or CTs faking a cross fire setup or fake defending positions to attract wrong nade/flash throws from rushing Ts. Just CT's shouldn't have molotov makes no consistency, CTs are police and special forces, molotovs are rubbish.
@Daskungen How can you say that when its not even out? I agree theres some dumb changes but the thought of this all perfect updated 1.6 is long gone, we need to take what we can and run with it. Lets face it we are going to have to give up somethings and accept some changes to see a new CS.

I really hope Valve shows this new generation of console gamers what a real FPS and Competitive Gaming is all about. Two very simple steps involved: 1:Take 1.6 exactly how it is and add next-gen graphics (no gameplay changes or redesign of maps). 2:Have a built-in match making system that will give people the feeling that CAL and CPL did back in the day. Have scrims and ranked matches and possibly even Seasons of some sort. If not, at least leave it open so Online Gaming Leagues can set it up.

Love all this hatred on CS:GO. What happened to being excited for this game? so what i got from this was: spectator fail money system fail free kevlar and helmet fail (makes it useless) Defuse kit fail (only 1) Train fail. (only one bombspot) molotov win? (atleast sounds interesting) decoy grenade fail. (it just takes any realism out of the game, it does sound interesting but i would not want to have it ingame) m4 fail (i want my silencer!) tazor fail (1 shot long range knife) Bunny hopping win! jumping win!
ok first and foremost, if they make another fucken source game someone is gonna assassinate the developers. Source is the easiest fucken version of counter strike I have ever played, if you are even remotely good at cs 1.6, you go into source, you will ace every 3/5 rounds. Thats why source sucks, it was way way way to easy.
I really hope this beats CoD in any area that it didn't previously. That is fame and graphics. Graphics aren't even that important... As long as those fat American kids learn to play real games.

@jcortes187 Are you stupid? CS 1.6 is much better than source, not saying that the graphics are better but the overall gameplay and the teamplay efficiency. CS 1.6 will always be better than source. As for people being bad and not having a decent computer all I can say is YOU ARE A RETARD and you don't know anything about cs.

Im Forwarding best comments, which I support 100%:
1. Change the hand models back to normal glove ones for the Terrorist and keep sleeves for Counter Terrorists
2. Change the weapon models, they look small and ugly.
3. Change the crosshair back to the good old Counter Strike one, or at least give the option.
I really needed Counter-Strike Global Offensive to be a great game, because I am Aching for modern FPS and I hate COD.

It's just a new version of CS. Gabe Newell said it himself. He said that for CS 2 to be a sequel, the game will have to have allot more going on. So, another 10 years of waiting for the true CS 2 ? Maybe HL2-EP3 and CS2 in one box ? That would be awesome.

Love all this hatred on CS:GO. What happened to being excited for this game? Yeah, it's going to console, but they're probably going to make it balanced based on these critics and all the trial and error. ok first and foremost, if they make another fucken source game someone is gonna assassinate the developers. Source is the easiest fucken version of counter strike I have ever played, if you are even remotely good at cs 1.6, you go into source, you will ace every 3/5 rounds. Thats why source sucks, it was way way way to easy.

@Arto572 1.0 and 1.6 did not just have bug fixes ,compared the 2 versions , the gameplay is very different. while I agree that nothing MAJor was done , enough was done to say that they were separate games. I mean look at cod , if u say cod mw1 and mw2 are 2 different games , then cs 1.0 and cs 1.6 are very different 2.
