i live about 50 miles away from the quake ( which was centered 35 miles off the coast of petrolia ca) in mendocino county and i felt this quake as well as the 6.5 a month ago. the first one was definitely longer and felt more, this one was still big though. it shook us up a bit.

Eureka is 280 miles north of san fran. it's 30k population and the biggest city around. the earthquake was 50 miles from eureka. no damages reported that I heard of. I'm living in Oakland but was born and grew up in Eureka :)

I think he had his facts wrong. i just read an article online to confirm, and it says there was an earthquake in Eureka, California (a 6.5) but it was on January 10, 2010

Yes it hit in Northern Cali in the Eureka area the same area where the January quake struck.

better than them talking about cars for 3 hours. i was stuck watching communist news network for 3 hours while waiting for my car to get serviced, and all they were talking about were toyota recalls. so stupid. but i hope everyone is ok in cali
