this is a comment for all those that got the same problem... try this:

go to "my PC"

open the C disk folder

in the progrms folder locate the Windows live folder and open it

then open the "installer" folder and doble clik the "wlarp" icon

select the repair option

and reestart your computer... that should work

Pour l'ancienne version 8.5,qui exige une mise à jour,j'ai trouvé la solution pour qu'elle redevienne

en marche:

1-clic droit sur l'icône MSN du bureau.

2-choisissez propriétés.

3-dans la nouvelle fenêtre qui parait,sélectionnez l'anglet "compatibilité" .

4-cochez la première case"exécuter ce programme en mode de compatibilité de".

5-choisissez Windows 2OOO,puis OK.

6-Redémarrez votre machine,et ça ira inchallah

It has forced anti aliased fonts that you cannot turn OFF making the whole program dead slow! And you cannot use the older versions no more! THEY FORCE TO UPGRADE TO 2009 but have you read the terms of live 2009?! The new terms state that microsoft can install whatever it wants with newer versions of msn live.

1st its not working with windows live account neither.

2nd i used the original installer from the original site.

3rd i uninstall and reinstall the program multiple times.

4th stop pissing me off mate by saying that you hate me.i know how to fuckin install wlm.

The only thing i installed was wlm9(standalone installer) and contacts.msi at the first place.

It worked like charm for about a month but suddenly one day i couldnt login..

I know that on the last update microsoft forsed users to apply it on there machines and some fucked up!

Now i downgraded to 8.5 witch works very good and it has no problems..

It sucks, I got the same error (8000ffff) and I tried to uninstall-reinstall, tried to download contacts.msi, it's just stupid, nothing will work.

Did you recently install Photo Gallery or anything else from Windows Live Essentials? I don't even know if it has anything to do with it, but I read somewhere that Photo Gallery causes troubles.
