  • wow, i've never seen banding before.. i'm always flat ironing mine.. maybe i'll try it

  • AH! I love this! You gave me so many ideas!

  • Thank you for this video! My hair scares me with some of the stuff it does, but I see other people go through their stuff as well. :-)

  • @LadyKay9190 LoL, your hair scares you!! Mine too!! Thanks for tuning in:-)

  • my hair looks just like yours, maybe a little coarser, & I've been thinking about going natural. my new growth is about 4-5 inches and I'm gonna grow it out a little more before I do the big chop. this video totally motivated me more to keep growing my hair out and not putting another relaxer in it, there's so much more hairstyles you can do with natural hair! :)

  • @koolkat1675 WooWee!!!!!! I am so happy to have inspired you to keep up your natural growth!! It's going to be just beautiful:-) Thanks for watching:-)

  • @koolkat1675 WooWee!!!!!! I am so happy to have inspired you to keep up your natural growth!! It's going to be just beautiful:-) Thanks for watching:-)

  • Having Asian poker-straight hair can be boring because my hair is very resistant to curling! Trust me, I wish I have your hair texture

  • @okaygirl141 Thanks for liking my hair texture!! But I bet your bone straight hair is just gorgeous!!! Thanks for watching:-)

  • You have a very pretty hair texture

  • @tucker5114 Thanks so much T5114:-)

  • I really like your hair. Please watch my video and tell me what you think? My natural hair Journey. Thank you for the encouragement. What products do you use in your hair?

  • Love the style at 1:16

  • @tuxu14 Thank you!!

  • @OurLadyLourdes YourWelcome!!!!

  • Thank you! I enjoyed this video! You are sooooo cute!

  • @Apriluv7779 Hey Apriluv!!!! Awww, thanks so much;-)

  • how long do twist styles n stuff last? does it look really bad the next day? do you have 2 retwist them b4 going 2 bed??

  • @TashaMac89 Hey Tasha!! My twists will last a week if I leave them twisted!! Most of the time, I'll twist at night and untwist in the morning and wear it like that for 3~4 days. At night for the twist out, I put my hair up in a pineapple without the hair tie. Then slide a satin bonnet over it. The regular twist, I just put the bonnet on them and call it a night. Hope this helps:-) I need to do a new nighttime routine vid...

  • @OurLadyLourdes thanks! i decided over the weekend that i want to go natural but im really afraid. Thanks for your video, and quick response it gave me hopeful yet realistic expectations :)

  • Loved this video!

  • @aRealJawjaPeach Thanks JawjaPeach!! Super cute channel name:-)

  • You've inspired me. I'm transitioning and wanted to lock up because it seems lower maintenance lol but this was a great video thank you. And the 3 songs you use for it is A-MAZING! I can't shazam any of them but was wondering if you could send them to me.

  • @Dooptasticness Future, The Turn Off and Soul Control all by BOCrew. Dig for them on ccmixter.org I also thought locs would be less maintenance but figured I'd miss my hair too much. Thanks so much for watching!! I'm happy to help:-)

  • @OurLadyLourdes Thank you! Don't know how you found this music but it really speaks to me you know? Esp Soul Control. Also, I love your hair and you are absolutely adorable! Thx for the post =)

  • @Destinay4lyf Thank you!! Check the description box!! It's the first link:-)

  • @SandiiSoCal Yay!! I'm happy to help:-) Congrats on your new journey!! I'm a heat head to the fullest!! It gets easier;-)

  • I'm in love with the style at 2:00 PLZ tell me you did a tutorial! Its GAWJUSS!

  • You have given me so many great ideas. I just started my "all natural, no heat" journey and Im really excited about it. Great vid!

  • Beautiful hair !!~

  • @o0opukitao0o Thank Ya;-)

  • hey you guys am not a spamer but am a 14 yr old barley learning to do hair and make up so please check out my channel to see my very first one thanks in advanced. hugs and kisses

  • You're pretty and you have gorgeous hair! I'd love to go natural and try all those great styles but I feel like my hair just wouldn't cooperate..

  • @Babycakezz18 Thanks Baby!! You'll never know unless you try! You can always relax again if you feel:-)

  • @OurLadyLourdes You're welcome :) Yeah that is true.. Maybe I'll give it a try!

  • What do u use to slick and moisturize ur hair with?

  • @MsLovelyVNess Hi Lovely!! It's not the most moisturizing but I'm sure you could sub a cream for the leave in!! I spray my front with water. Add the leave-in, just a bit. Then brush down. When things are properly placed, I add my favorite gel. Ampro Clear Ice!! Don't forget to tie your scarf to lay it down, this is key!! 10~15 min later...

    Good to Go;-)

  • Do you have a tutorial for the style at 1:58? It's so pretty!

    ~Anne

  • @Anne249 Hi Anne!! Thank you!! If you check the description box, you should be able to click the very first link to see how I achieved the pony!! Enjoy:-)

  • @OurLadyLourdes thank you darling!

  • Your hair reminds me of my sister's. She had a lot of hair, but also a tender scalp which made so much hair hard for her to handle. She has had a light perm for years, not because she doesn't like her hair in its natural state, but because it is simply easier for her to live with. I can relate to the bad hair days, even with natural hair. I LOVE the ponies and twisted styles best. You have given me a lot of great ideas!

  • @elainebmack I totally understand lightly relaxing for control!! We all have to do what we need to do!! Thanks for liking my styles and stopping by:-)

  • r u mixed with anything

  • @SSDiva100 Hey Diva!! There is some white, Native American and Samoan mixed in down the line.

  • @OurLadyLourdes cuz my hair looks like yours and im mixed with indian

  • Nice video. We have the same hair texture. I stopped using chemicals a long long time ago and my hair is past my shoulders to the middle of my back.

I usually braid or twist my hair but more times than not I wear it in a ponytail when I'm in a hurry..

So just keep doing what you're doing.

  • @MsTemptation Not only do we have the same texture, we have the same routine!! Thanks for watching MsTemptation:-)

  • I love your hair

  • @MaiyaCasiano1 Thank you:-)

  • Yeah I think everyone's "bad" differs due to what they're used to. Someone with a weave will think a straight hair out of place is bad lol...and someone with fluffy or tightly coiled hair would think an afro was a bad day, and then there's the soft curls with not much to worry about in regards to managing (such as myself) that think days like these horrid (not me). It amazes & amuses me to see everyone's differences. Thanks for sharing, you're a very pretty girl.

  • @DaMeekz You explained it very well. Thank you for the compliment and thanks for watching:-)

  • @OurLadyLourdes Why thank you so very much for your compliments as well :-D ....Ya very welcome ;-)

  • Girl hush, I have no sympathy for you. Your hair is awesome!!! You just showin out.

  • @nappicurlz You calling me out curlz;-) Thanks for watching!!

  • I was watching your "bads" thinking WOW, I'd give anything for my hair to do that!....wish you had my head of hair for a day, you'd give it back in 10min LOL...jk! I enjoyed this, you're my new inspiration

  • @oridniv You are too funny!! We could switch, anytime!! LoL Thanks for the love:-)

  • Oh my gosh! Your hair is so beautiful!

  • @luvjoshy Thanks so much luv:-)

  • How do you band it to stretch it out? My hair isn't that thick though, will that make a difference?

  • @DMarie0824 To band, I usually put in the products I want to set my hair with and make a low ponytail. For more definition(deep waves) create two low ponytails. An inch or so down, add another ponytail holder. Continue this all the way down. When I get to my ends I'll let it curl naturally or put a roller or rod on it. I don't think the difference will matter. Don't put a lot of product in to weigh it down and it should swell to create some fullness:-)

  • @DMarie0824 I meant thickness. The thickness shouldn't matter;-)

  • @SwarthySkinnedOne *figure out who you are first before you start talkin shit about other people.

  • @TheOneNOnlyTee

As if you really care that I do for the sake of my self-improvement. Anyhow, I can tell by the way you worded your meanningless threat that you're probably one of the very worse in doing what you warn others not to, you quarter of a half-pint hypocrite.

  • @SwarthySkinnedOne lol i love how your first comment was full of "dat, dey, da and azz" and then you try and say someone else's sentence wasn't intelligent.. how many people did you get to proofread your last comment before you sent it? obviously you don't know if you're illiterate or intelligent. Figure

  • @TheOneNOnlyTee

And obviously you're trying to satirically upstage me by yammering as if you're necessary top-gun for students at Harvard and Yale to get their diplomas signed by in order for them to graduate, at any level of honors (cum laude to summa) and get jobs that will pay (at the most in their entire life) almost half as much at yours. Cut it. It just dosen't come off. It's rediculously amaturish & thereby completely poor stuff, like American Idol.

  • i have the same problem with my hair! i just hope for the best everyday! lol

  • @queennini8 Hi queen!! As of right now, products are: Trader Joe's Nourish Spa shampoo and conditioner. Sometimes, Cantu Shea butter leave-in and Shea butter mixed with coconut oil. My fav gel is Ampro Clear Ice;-)

  • Hello'@OurLadyLourdes,I'am 17 Year Old...I Just Started My Journey Goin Natural One Month & Three Weeks Ago,I Really Love Your Hair..Right Now I Cut My Hair Super Short..In I Just Wanting To Ask You How Long It Took Your Hair To Be That Lenght...I Need HELP...?& My Hair Is Some What Thin On The Side...What Should I Do..?

  • Very cute

  • @pincurled Thank you!!

  • Love the video :D

  • @cutewithcurls Thank you:-)

  • @916ATG I've heard that before!! Thanks for watching:-)

  • @successfull88 I did a tutorial!! The link 1:16 is in the description box:-) Thanks for watching!!

  • @kklive305 Please don't put any chemicals in your hair!! Search YouTube, ask family and friends for help too:-) I know it gets frustrating but you can do it:-) Message me too!!

  • @SuperLowercase AMEN!!!

  • @SuperLowercase manageability and appearance wise.

  • @SuperLowercase mine sure as in hell is not to me but that wont stop me from taking care of it.

  • @yamilaaveo Instead of wasting my viewers time by watching 8 different videos of great and not so great styles, I combined them. What I was saying wasn't really important, which is why you don't hear it. I try to keep in mind some peoples attention spans and irritations. Sorry you didn't enjoy the music.

  • Oooh I love the twist style at 1:19. the back and sides are pretty :)

  • @MeLonRoSe101 Thank You:-)

  • @SwarthySkinnedOne You seem irritated. You should vent all that by vlogging. Maybe someone will listen...

  • @SwarthySkinnedOne

I do? That's like say'n a duck seems to look like a bird.

  • @SwarthySkinnedOne What the hell does any of this nonsense you posted have to do with this video? the only idiot is see is you? O_o

  • @SwarthySkinnedOne How did you go from sounding like a complete buffoon to remotely intelligent? In your first post you completely butchered the English language, the entire comment was unintelligible, then you turn the tables and start giving Grammar lessons...lmfao how ironic.

  • @vampire

I'm stunned by your formidable capacities to critically analize enigmas such as I. I particularly noted how you've qualified "intelligent" with the belittling adjective "remotely" to keep your self-esteem intact. You don't want to grant the devil too much of his due, don't ya? Anyhow, lil xXxX-rated vamp, your surpise of me simply underscores your need to quit over-simplifying people so as to learn how complex the world can be - with or without your permission.

  • @SwarthySkinnedOne analyzing is what i do, but i wouldn't go as far as critical :)

funny you would point out 'remotely intelligent' as an attempt to preserve my self-esteem when I had no such intention.

I was not surprised in the least by the turn of events, I simply stated how amusing it was.

I was also not 'over-simplifying' as I'm quite used to situations such as this considering I have a family of complex minds.

maybe u should stop trying to prove your intelligence on yt.

  • Uh-huh. "I have a family of complex minds," says you, tooting your horn louder than all the trumpets combined in some Queen of England's Coronation. Well if so then why don't u use that phenomenal family of prodigies of yours to outdo Stephen Hawkins in coming up with a solution to abolish sickness, insanity, crime and all injustice? Or at least to concoct a vaccine against all forms of cancer. Something tells me u won't by the way u squawk like a two-bit tinhorn jackass!

  • What you're saying is irrelevant.

I was not 'tooting my own horn' i was stating how it would be difficult to not get used to the unexpected, seeing as i have a family of complex people, myself included. meaning i do not 'over-simplify' the world or anything at all for that matter.

and if you're going to reply at least try not taking my comments out of context...

  • @vamp

Look you Count Dracula fanatic or whatever your bloody vampire values leads u into believing youself to be (with the mark of the beast), you WISH what i've said was merely immaterial. Whenever a two-bit dime-a-dozen tinhorn as you throw out the braggart garbage of "I have a family of complex minds" or "My brother was the #1 who invented the flying saucer" or other horntooting boloney, that automatically makes you dubious & wide open to be splattered by rotten egg.

  • @vamp

And again, if you claim to be the proud owner of a "family of complex people, myself included" package, then why haven't you Aces bashed your mind-boggling brilliant brains together and come of with a way to get this country out of debt? Why do we still have gobal warming? Wassa matter? Your family of gigantic geniuses thinks that's too boring to solve so you'd rather just brag about yourselves (while you write complex Calculus texts books) to amaze the world? Pop off!

  • @SwarthySkinnedOne *sigh* you're not worth my time, everything you reply with is irrelevant to any of my comments. do you, by any chance have a mental disorder? or maybe it's an inferiority complex. either way you're wasting my time.

  • @v

Funny how you immediately replied to my 2-day delayed responce, just to reinforce my considered contempt of you - that you so richly deserve. I hope you didn't get too constipated sitting on your doo doo smelling butt waiting all this time, you silly cheap and common pretentious good-for-goddamn-nothing bilious bastard.

BTW you certainly have the knack for pissy poor comebacks, in spite of your "I have a family of complex minds," "Me included". A real dud u only R.

  • @Swarthy funny how you reply almost immediately after that last comment, struck a nerve did I? hm and do you honestly think I give a damn about your contempt toward me? don't think to highly of yourself hun. I find your attempts to seem more intelligent by continuously repeating my statements and twisting the meaning positively comical. you're only feeding the fire babe, keep it coming. who'd of figured you would turn out to be this amusing! guess u r worth some time after all

  • @vamp

    Ohhh *fart*!

Look you Nosferetu empty-headed cemetery-loitering nitwit, aren't there any necks near by to sink your rusty crusty fangs into to make screwed-up cadavers or some Red Cross blood bank for you to rob to get a little life into ya (maybe), like right now? I haven't found your insipid bone-dry "astute retorts" invigorating nor titilating at all, as you've been boring me to death with 'em.(irony not intended here).

  • @Swarthy surly you can do better than use the 'vampire' in my username to construct those petty retorts?

and if you considered me so monotonous your comments would have formerly ceased.

  • @Vamp

Of course I can do better than what I have with the aid of your goofy Stephany Myers hackwork inspired YT cognomen. Don't get outraged, but the epic trouble with you jr. is your pathetic milk-and-water palaver dosen't rate you an encouragement for me to do so, ya lil squirt. Can't you comprehend by now u ingrown mental-midget that u trying to take me on in equally matched banter is like you trying to take on the fomer USSR to save America with a pop-gun. Want more?

  • @Swarthy

oh very good! :D however you must understand I'm doing this clearly for my own enjoyment, and you succumbing to my provocative comments and replying with your feeble insults steadily fuels my flames. you could always end end this, but since you're so obstinate and still feel the need to prove you're (lack of) intelligence, give me all you got!

  • @v

I "still feel the need to prove my lack of intelligence," you say. Yeah. Kind of like sayinig a fully operational Nuclear Power plant (to light up Los Angeles & pop all it's light bulbs) still feels the need to prove it's lack of heat to even roast a little marshmellow.

U still feeling light, fluffy, round, flat-end, white all over, & straight out of a plastic bag of of white fluffies? Or more like a vanished-to-oblivion evaporation of something that went, "poofff!"?

  • @SwarthySkinnedOne oh come now I was expecting better, that was quite a poor retort, but I suppose this means your wit is depleting. if this continues I'll be forced to find entertainment elsewhere...

  • @vamp

In that case hurry up & feel forced to right now by being in front of a mirror and say over and over to your inglorious reflection "I come from a family of elite complex minds with me included"; just be sure you're wearing an corset extra strong and tight enough as when the joke soon after sinks in (undoubtedly you're the bright super-achieving gifted type ALSO quick on the uptake) your sides won't split from rupturing LOL induced diversion. That should turn the trick.

  • @SwarthySkinnedOne hm but I do come from a family of elite complex minds with myself included. ;)

what astounds me though, is how pathetically dull you've become in so short a time. maybe I've given you too much credit, seeing as these latest so-called insults you've been throwing my way have yet to make me even crack a smirk. please don't reply again if you can't give me something even just a tad humorous...

  • @vamp

Well that makes you a patent hypocrite being that your arid replies (since your very first remarks) have been as dry as a dramatic & desolate lunar landscape. Just use that logically clear-cut resourceful brain of yours to whip together a rocket ship and blast off to the moon and scout around to get a closer lifeless barren picture (of yourself) to know what I really mean. Then look back at Earth. That will be me looking at u - u goddman flat zero. Give it up already.

  • @SwarthySkinnedOne The honest truth is that you don't find me mind-numbing and dry, otherwise you wouldn't be replying to me. lets face it, people in general do not give attention to something that is uninteresting, so you are not helping your case any.

what's actually entertaining about this is that I know I'm getting under your skin, which was my intention from the beginning. and you are obviously letting me. :)

  • @SwarthySkinnedOne You sound dumb as hell!

  • Have u been natural your whole life

  • @loveangel1240 Nope. I was relaxed from age 10-11 until 17:-)

  • lmao ! Gram-ma-ma

  • @miamorjuiicy21 True Story!! lmao

  • you are cute

  • @ebbigurl Thank ya ;-)

  • 1:51 that hairstyle is REALLY cute !

  • @OmgGirls04 Thanks!! Glad you liked the style:-)

  • CUTE

  • @TALLYmakinfaces Thank you:-) Cute channel name:-)

  • imagine if your hair was less curlly and more kinky.

  • @dudealision Less curly and more kinky... I'd be super cool with that!! To me, it's always easier to work with a head full of one or the other. I'm working with a little bit of both and I struggle but I'm learning to work with it. Thanks for watching:-)

  • Lovvee the twist & pony style at 1:55

  • @KeiConcepts Thank you:-)

  • Love it...I have been running out of ideas and you have given me so many!

  • @cocoelysses1 Thank you!! I'm so happy I could help:-)

  • so how did you get your hair to look so smooth? did you use some sort of oil, activator or something? i was natural for a while and never learned how to do that.

  • @ElmoTooLive I make sure my hair is very damp and has a bit of leave in conditioner in it!! Then, I use the best gel ever made!! Ampro Clear Ice:-) Tie it down with a scarf to set it and Voila:-) Thanks for watching!!

  • @OurLadyLourdes THANK YOU!!!! =)

  • Really adorable!

  • @telak2 Thank you:-)

  • what u consider "wild" is perfectly cute :)

  • @lisafizz70 Thank you:-)

  • Not for nothing but are you mixxed:D

  • @wataki2 Ahhh, here is your comment!! My mom is black, white, Native American and my dad is a black and Samoan mix:-)

  • @OurLadyLourdes Thats a damn good mix right there... but anywho u sound aggravated with me for asking, if so i apologize in advance:D

  • @wataki2 No way Mamas!! I just didn't understand where you were coming from on my Oil Only Method video. I was trying to see if someone was talking ish to you, but there is a lot going on in the comment section of that vid!! Just looking out for you:-) But when I saw this video comment it all made sense!! Happy New Year:-)

  • And anyway, you definitely don't need a perm if you want to achieve a slicker look - DannieBeeLoved achieves it very well with her natural hair (I'm avoiding heat like the plague for the moment myself) and that's what's awesome about natural hair - the versatility!

  • @anamneses28 Thanks for giving me the courage to give another go to the roller set!! I really need a trim so heat is in my near future. You're awesome for staying away!! I will check out DannieBeeLoved soon:-) Thanks so much:-)

  • The roller set may not have come out exactly as you wanted but you could have styled and rocked that cause it your hair was really pretty and it adds variety to the repertoire.

  • "Looking like Gram-ma-ma!!" lmfao

  • @Hidjdjdj LoL!!

  • Your 'rough' days aren't rough at all. All were cute to me. Nice styles

  • @MsHendrix Thanks MsHendrix:-)

  • So soft and bouncy! I bet everyone just loves playing in those curls! I know I would lol

  • @ShekinahShazaam Thanks for watching!! My sister and daughter always want to play beauty shop!! LoL

  • Thank you for this video.

  • @blewknew Thank YOU for watching:-)

  • its funny i felt like my hair was so thick and unruly when i was relaxed but now that im natural its much more thin feeling for a natural lol i have to fight it to get "big hair" haha guess i should watch what i wish for!!! and my twist never feel big n chunky like i need them 2!

  • @foxylilmimi Foxy, I'm right there with you!! Only thing, my hair was never thick. It takes a small miracle for big sexy hair that has some type of structure to it!! My twists are never big and chunky but I try to fake the funk;-)

  • SuperJj789, I wouldnt say that everyone's natural texture is the same. It might be, it might not. Don't go natural with expectations, you might be disappointed, you might not. Good Luck Though girl!

  • im sooo jealous of ur hair lol...itz similar to my little brothers

  • @7MoulinRouge You're jelly of my hair??!! I'm jealous of your little brother!! He can get a fade!!!

  • You look sooo Beautiful...even in the "Not so Hot looking hair times" !LOL...Hi Tif!

  • @BeauGorgeousNatural Thanks so much!! Hi Gorgeous!!

  • @SuperLowercase Beautiful, desirable natural hair!! You are so right:-)

  • aww i cant wait to go natural! its gon be so curly n cute

  • @SuperJj789 It sure will!! Enjoy:-)

  • the best natural haIIR I HAVE SEEN YET

  • @nettystylz Thank you!!

  • @OurLadyLourdes

Can you help me??? my hair is like Jessie J's (but blonde and a lil shorter) and my fringe is growin longer, what would be a really good technique to help me with this??? because ive tried cornrow/ french braidin just the fringie bit and its really bugging me. Thank you =)

  • @SophRox144 I had the same problem with my fringe(bang) area while trying to grow them out and keep them out of my face. I'm sorry I can't be of more help. I was doing all of the things you've already mentioned. Cornrows, flat twists, head bands and bobby pins were necessities for me!! It'll take some time but it will grow:-)
