  • The young girl is so mature and strong, respect!

  • This country is a gold mine of human potential. Corrupt politicians are sucking its blood and fearful investors hesitate to evaluate it to its true value. Sooner or later Moldova will meet its fate and will become a prosperous country again...it's inevitable...all they need is patience, hope and ambition

  • There is worst than that... If you are a young girl, any time you can be stolen from the streets and be sold in other country. There is no future, the cops are corrupt, no jobs, you feel like living in a jungle. That is the truth. I was born there, I have my family there, but I'll never go back .

  • @PickMyJunk living in a jungle eh

..at least its not a desert...its sucks eatting dirt. hehe

  • @PickMyJunk

I respect that comment you just made. There should be more people like you who see the bigger picture.

The cops are corrupt, thats a fact. You can pay your teacher to give you a degree in medicine too.

Going to Moldova this year left me disgusted at my own country. A lot of people need a wake up call. I'm never going over there to live. No way.

  • @Olengher

Moldova has top speed internet- I agree. It is much faster. However it tends to be limited. I havent came across "unlimited downloads"

Theres always a limit like 16GB and so on. But look at the roads in Moldova, and the flats people live in. I dont think the national service in Moldova is good enough. Theres no council to take care and maintain homes and roads. Everythings erorded and damaged. I would much rather take care of the country and then spend money on fast internet.

Aceiasi problema o are guvernu Moldovei care o are si guvernu Romaniei.Banii.

In Romania a dat ANAF rezultatele pe judete.

  • Where's the sax guy? o-o'

  • Basarabia Pamant Romanesc!!! Moldova trebuie sa revina acolo unde a fost dintotdeauna, adica in Romania. Impreuna vom fi mai puternici si vom reusi sa scimbam in bine fata tarii. Suntem alaturi de voi.

  • Bessarabia is Romania!

The dismemberment of our nation on June 28 1940 does not change that fact!

Hai unirea! Let us destroy the borders at Prut! Come Moldova, the Motherland is waiting!

  • How do you help someone like that?

  • I salute and respect those children. They seem more responsible and mature than half of the adults around the world.

  • uhmmmm ya we can film texas, and say its america too............ god this is a freaking village, why not film something good

  • What Moldova was destroyed by Russia there wasn't any glory they destroyed Moldova and Romania

  • there are places like this in england....they are called 'farmers' lol

  • OMG WHAT PART OF MOLDOVA IS THIS???

  • Moldavian people are very intelligent and hard-working. They don't deserve all this misery.

  • englezi scarbosi ne defaimati sora noastra Basarabia .

  • The ass crack of europe.

  • I feel sick....... I... feel so sorry for these people.... this is terrible.... this.....is terrible....

legacy of the ussr: a country where the largest is poor and the rest is in conflict... they took some romanian land and some ukrainian land and created the moldovan ssr..... with an economic system destined to fail....and with the ukrainian part 'pulling a kosovo'... they destroyed the lives of so many....

  • @bbphnix Russian, not Ukrainian. It's run by the Russian mafia.

  • Moldova, Turkemenistan, Tajikistan are the worst victims of the CCCP disolution. No wonder Gorbachev is very unpopular there.

  • @thegreendestiny the ussr shouldn't have been created at all!!! do you have any idea how prosperous inter-war Romania was (which included moldova) ? had comunism not come and had moldova not gone soviet, the whole Romania, including Zarnesti would be like France;

I curse everything that has to do with the soviets!!! curse them!

  • @bbphnix Lol. You high? Romania was far from being a "prosperous" before and after the CCCP. You can not even compare it to Yugoslavia.

  • @thegreendestiny You don't know ... At the beginning at the 20th century Romania was very prosperous - to suc extent that it was called "the grain barn of europe". Culture and literature flourished so much during that period of time that that age is called today in Romania "the golden age of the Romanian culture". The capital was so beautiful - and it was renouned for it wide boulevards - that it was called "The Paris of the East."

  • @thegreendestiny Ukraine too,and they have lower GDP per capital than some african countries while their politics is heavily infiltrated with asslickers of the Russian government.

  • Am I the only one to think the author does dramatize a bit too much and tries to match the image on the screen with his bias on a matter?

Seriously, I live there and I think the author does generalise too much. :)

  • What a sad situation. I visited Moldova in 2010 and it is a beautiful country with wonderful people. They do need our help and I sponsor a child and assist a family through Mission Without Borders. You can google them and discover the great work they are doing. I was able to visit my sponsored child and see the work first-hand.

  • This is United Europe: they keep the East underdeveloped to have the slaves do their dirty jobs.

  • Regardless if Moldova is a poor country,I salute the parent's sacrifices to give their children a better future.greetings from the Philippines!

  • Serbia and Moldova brotherhood ! My Great Grandparents went to Moldova...

  • And, btw, Bessarabia now called another part of Moldova and Romania, which belong to Ukraine now - part, losted in 1940

  • water suply isn't most important part, what making you to belong, or don't belong to this nation. Moldova is Romanian country, and part of Romania - its my opinion

  • Romanians, Moldova doesn't belong to you for a long time. You didn't do anything good to this country and its people. Quite the contrary, when you came here last time, people lived awful, without basic public utilities as water supply system. If you don't believe me or think its my subjective view, ask people who lived at those time, they will tell you the truth, Under USSR Moldova was well developed and flourishing. Please, Read the history...

  • @alea555 I just want to say that the Republic of Moldova is just a third of the territory of the historic province of Moldova. I think it's incorrect to refer to Republic of Moldova as simply Moldova, seeing that these are two different notions.

Needless to say, no one asks the moldovans in Romania what they think about it all.

So you can say that the Republic of Moldova doesn't belong to Romania, which is true, it's a country, but Moldova, the bigger part, the center part, is already Romania.

  • @marius4iasi i think you are just picking on me...i think you perfectly understood what i wanted to say, and paying attention to such details is quite nagging...i know that moldova is a region in romania, but i think it's quite obvious which moldova i mean in my comment...the one that is sometimes called Bessarabia. thank you

  • @alea555 Then you see the contradiction, you say you are moldovans, which are not romanians, and yet there are 6 million moldovans which are romanians. It might be a detail to you, but not to me. If you say that moldovans are not romanians, i have to correct you, because it is affecting me, I am a moldovan too, but i respect the act of 1859, when my moldovan ancesters said that they are romanians. If you will say that the citizens of RM are not romanians, then i respect your opinion.

  • @alea555 So you went from a flourishing country under URSS ,to the poorest in Europe just in a few years !!

What happened ? Did those evil romanians sabotaged your super economy ?

  • @tirpitz19 hold on, u r exaggerating...i didn't say it was a super economy. this territory was in good economic conditions, because many specialists and professionals were raised here and brought down from other parts of USSR in order to raise productivity, to boost manufacturing. Many factories and enterprises were established. and this is a historical fact, u can ask even old people who lived in that epoch. However, nowadays many of those factories stopped operating and those economy went down

E tocmai invers.Datorita comunistilor ,Moldova ,ca si Romania ,sunt in halul in care sunt astazi.

  • @tirpitz19 u have the right to have your own opinion. and there's nothing wrong that it is different from mine.....

  • and i didn't mention romanians destroying the economy...i just don't like the fact that some people see Moldova as Romanian territory...it is not anymore, because it already has a different cultural heritage

  • There is a well established ministry in Moldova which I visited in March. They have a program where families are assisted with food parcels and material/spiritual support to help them become self-sufficient. I sponsor one of these"social"orphans and a family in Moldova through Mission Without Borders.

  • We arent poor people we are as just as all the europeans.

  • Comment removed

  • @Pistruiv, Right. All the european people live like in this video.

    You're mentally ill, sorry.

  • that everybody judges us just because we are poor and for the simple reason that we are Moldoviens. I have a family now but with no kids yet.I wish that my children would be proud of their mother for what she is and from were she is. it²s not so easy to explain in some words all thouse feelings especially when you are far away from your country, parents, childhood, beautiful memories. I am conscious that i must fight for a better future. So, please... don't judge us just because we want to LIVE ...

  • It makes me feel sorry for what i have saw in this clip. I'm romanian ( from Moldova) and i left my country at 18years, that means 2 years ago because of insuficients.I'm in France now and believe me that french people aren't smarter, more beautiful or more responsable than we are, but they live better than us do.Now we suffer because of political reasons even that is not our fall.My heart is breaking in pieces for what is hapening with my motherland and my soul is crying inside me when i know..

  • I feel for these kids.

  • These people are poor, but proud and dignified in a way. I would like to visit some time.

  • BASARABIA PAMANT ROMANESC!!!!

  • Comment removed

  • Unlike!!!

  • in facts you may share all this, but not in a disgusting mode, because when I saw this video I did NOT saw the reality!!not all the country is like it is represented here!I lived there for all my life and I know what's true and what is not.in facts if Moldova is so poor, then why I am speaking english??Because I am a moldovan teenager??I'm dissapointed that all the world consider us like neanderthals!!!

  • I am Really sorry about how our country is represented here!In reality it is not like seems to be here!!We aren't so poor!!Well, why you did not filmed the city Kishinev or some villages like Durlesti, or whatever the villages nearby the cities?I really don't like the fact that you men consider our countrry so poor and disgusting!! This video share the poorest villages!!why don't you pay attention on cities, why just don't you share the beauty and the positive side?

  • @ninacodreanu> Moldova does have very nice villages and cities. There are videos on YouTube that show that. I understand being upset over how the country is represented here but at the same time I'm glad that they're showing this. I think it's important for people to know about this terrible situation. Maybe someone who can help will see it. The precious kids in this video deserve to have the world know that they exist. And they are an inspiration. I will pray for them.

  • @ninacodreanu Half your country basically belongs to Russia. Don't try to pretty it up..

  • @ninacodreanu Because it's the true side of Moldova.

  • @ninacodreanu I myself am visiting moldova next summer! I personally have seen waaay worse places, and don't worry I didn't take what I saw for granted for I've seen other pictures of moldova and it is stunning! And my friends keep telling me that the people are great over there :), and don't worry people don't think moldova is disgusting!

  • @ninacodreanu: So are you saying Moldova does not have grinding poverty, socio-economic collapse and destitution and this documentary is fake. Well I absolutely disagree with you. And its because of people like you that Moldova is still poor because you people leave your motherland to work in Europe and never look back to develop your home country i.e. Moldova.

  • @camzidan bine zis shefule.

  • @ninacodreanu

Well established European countries dont have a such thing called "poor villages"

If Moldova wants to officially enter Europe it should start paving roads in villages like malayeshti and should provide help for those in need. But no, its all about the capital city in Moldova. Whatever village is far away from it, they dont care, the government just leaves the people to it, and thats a fact, theres no denying in that. Moldova should be poor-free.

  • moldova should've been dead by now but with all it's talented people it survived and came back from the dead its amazing... I'm 15 rite now and i came to America when i was 10, i truly stand up for moldova and never will betray it <3

  • It is a really sad story how ppl still suffer from soviet occupation for 50 years, i really feel sorry for them.

Could a Romanian or other person please tell me why on earth Moldova wanted to be independant and not belong to Romania- was it cause the soviets stole moldova after the war or ???

  • @Vonwar01

We didn't want to, the USSR collapsed, and we got left out, they exploited us after separating us from Romania, and after the collapse (of USSR) nobody cared about us anymore.

  • @MsTrohTibiDoh I hope for you that you will go back to Romania, and that we can help you out from the rest of the European Union. It is such a shame to see fellow Europeans suffering from the unfortunate history of Communism and neglection.!!!!

    Best wishes from Denmark.

21, wake up.

  • What kind of a mother leaves their children to fend for themselves!?

  • @bigbuggie5 a desperate one that sees no other option.

  • So how much is $2,000 converted to the money in Moldova?

Also, money they use in Moldova?

  • @PrankerDemon When I was ther it was 11 lei to $1.00. Don't know what it is right now. I'ts been fairly consistant the last few years.

  • @PrankerDemon right now 1$ = 12.34 Lei

  • @sassyhoney1 So if I take $2000 US currency and convert it to "Lei", apparently I'll have 24,680 Lei. Do they have hotels over there? How much if so?

How long would 24,680 Lei last?

  • Buses are full but planes are empty. All of you Romanians who say "unite" can simply fuck off since when we was with Romania we starved.Communism came along and gave us sheets to sleep in and people where amazed when they saw a cooling fan.So just shut the hell up.It is a fact since that information came from older generations of mine that lived both in romania, during communism and moldova today.Moldova's fault.People are all like sheep.Moldova will never enter europe.I guarantee.Just think...

  • @Lvieru96 Communism came and took the land from people and gave it to those who were licking their asses .

Communism came and deported innocent romanians from Moldova and bring to Moldova their own russian puppets from Siberia or God knows for what other russia wholes .

    Comuism made and upgrade Gulag.

Communism came and destroyed Moldova and make it look as you see it in this clip.

Communism came and opressed these people.

In other words go fuck yourself ignorant snotty imbecile !

  • Such a sad story. But the terrible thing is that the government is making it increasingly harder to help Moldovans. It is almost impossible to ship some things without paying the govnmt more than what the shipment is worth. Why??

  • bag pula in rusii astia sa-i manance ciorile

  • Out with Russian army from Republic of Moldova. you stinky vodka Bolshevik rats. You're not there for peace, since 14th Russian army was there the crimes, mafia, the arm and drugs traffic increased dramatic. Bessarabia will unite with Romania where it belongs into EU membership.

  • FUCK !!! THIS NOT REAL MOLDOVA !!!

  • simt ca intr-un fel me-am dezamagit fratii :(

  • I don't care if after the Unification Of Romania and Moldova things will be a little harder for us, if our wages will decrease . As I said , I'll gladly share my bread with my brothers and accept the wage decrease as long as we can improve our brothers situations .

Together we'll rise above these problems again and get there where we must be.

BLOOD is a more important link between people than money. We all must think about this thing.

You can loose money, buy you can never loose your BROTHERS

  • @BurebistasHeir Are you from Moldova?

I met someone from there, really good person!

  • @BurebistasHeir Nicley said. I do wish the best for Moldova. I was born in iatra neamt Romania, and put in an orphanage because my mother was very poor and lived on a farm. And it makes me so sad to see poverty in some areas. I hope and pray for the best of Moldova.

  • @BurebistasHeir Beautifully said, greetings from a Serb i would like for my country to help a little also, but my country couldn't fix problems here and not in any other places... :(

  • This little girl on minute 1:01 is so cute :) i wanna cry when i see this situation, infact i have tears in my eyes already. she is so innocent, whats her fault that she have to live without her mother ??? why they pay this heavy price? :( other europe is sleeping coz they have lots of food and enough beer to drink and sleep, BASTARDS!

  • So sad, they are Romanian people to you know from the mother land, Romanian Kingdom. Imagen something like U.K. now. Then the dark times cammed, and the Soviet's toke Moldova and made it on what it is today. It is so sad that we are not together whit them to help them cross the trouble they have and reunite again for a better future and pro-sphere together. One day we will be together my brothers, and i hope you will teach that Veronin a leason....You are Brothers of Romania!!!

  • @sweet0mistral we will never be with romania! we are from moldova, only moldova is our mother land, not romania! romania shouldn't teach us what we must to do!!!we want be a moldovans, not a romanians!

  • @theShequel you just don't understand...the reason you are not part of romania anymore is because of your communist friends URSS back when the World War 2 ended Moldova and other part of the country was taken from Romania. You guys even have a Lenin statue in Moldova ffs. Your country has no shame at all? No dignity ? How did Lenin help you? No one wants to teach you anything, you can learn history, Moldova is part of Romania so was Transilvania, Tara Romaneasca.

  • @theShequel thanx alot that a great comment

im fuckin tired of saying i speak romanian and then im being asked if im romanian...

i want my country to be independent and not have nothing to do with romanians from now on because they stole so much from us and they keep using us... also i hate russians i know it might be racist even you might be moldovian russian but i hate the russians in my country that were born there and dont even know anything else then saying hi.

  • @whlzdenis i am a moldovian russian,as you say.and i can speak on moldavian a little,cause i'm from south of repuplica,from Gagauzia.

  • it is USA!!!!

  • Fuck other this is not Moldova bat is Rominia deceptive all ,Moldova is beautiful country

  • @2704max i agree whit you, but Romania is a also a beautiful is it not?

  • This is heartbreaking. Europe is so disjointed. I live in the UK, and we have poverty here too, but not to that extent. How can we, and France, Germany, Italy, Sweden, Norway, Finland and other relatively wealthy states masquerade as a meaningful Union when we allow this to go on in our continent?

  • @jammy78 unfortunately, the leaders of wealthier and powerful countries either don't share your opinion on this matter, or they simply can't do anything, because of "political diplomacy"

  • @jammy78 this is our life) you live in England, i'm very happy for you!enjoy your life, cause it will be more better then lives of 3 millions of moldovenians) this is our country, and we love it,as she is) europe is rich with minerals and technologies, but we have just a wine) we can do it more better then something else) may be in the future something changes and our country will be more happiest, i don't know(((

  • @theShequel I hope my comment was not disrespectful, it was certainly not meant to be. I wish you and every Moldovan only happiness and peace, and I would love to visit your country one day. I love my country, and I love that you love your country too. I wish Europe was more even, that is all I meant to say.

  • @theShequel

If you ever do join Europe, my view is that Europe will do jack shit, they wont help moldova, you are inspired by europe because they rich and intelligent, dont believe that, europe is more dirtier than moldova, prozzies on every corner, theres no one walking in smart clean suits and ties, they live in houses with fucked up gardens and no gate, everyone is alcoholic and everyone smokes drugs. So theres nothing better in Europe, NOTHING, i live in England, and i am Moldavian

  • @Lvieru96

i randomly came across this clip, made me very sad. i really like the point you make here. i too am from eastern europe somewhere but live in egland: we've escaped to a western life where people live lives of hedonism and immorality. personally i hate it. the people in this video portray quite a miserable life but then i think of people in england who have everything they want ( well compared to this ) and yet they are so fkd up and miserable! makes no sense.

  • @l4dima

i know i know,i too live in england, and it has a big contrast.Yes england is fucked too, half of the people cant be arsed working, live in dirty houses with no wallpaper.yes,i escaped to a western life and i hate it too,but its not as bad as moldova when it comes to education and payment.i dont like saying this, but comparing this and england, all the people are in moldova are like sheep, they dont know what to do,they just follow each other with their shoulders up all the time.

  • @Lvieru96

well written comment, im nodding along :)

overall, i think we're lucky to live in england ( despite many many things wrong with it) given the sacrifices people make to come here.

  • Moldova is Romania. We must unite with Moldova soon and together again we'll make with step by step things better in Moldova and Romania too.

We have this blood obligation to help our brothers from across the Prut.

The fucking russians get them where they are now , destroyed their system from the roots and we must get them out from this shit that the filthy russians threw them in.

I'll gladly share my bread with my brothers . Our ancestors died 4 Moldova

Soon we'll make things right :)

  • @BurebistasHeir : This is the former Romanian principality of Moldavia established in 1359? Yes, the Russians are certainly no friend of Moldova. Despite the poverty and hard times, there is much beauty in this country from what I have seen (only in videos).

  • Dont worry about Moldova and these kids. Better worry about West Decay.

  • it's a shame that's such beautiful nation as moldavians are kept as frigging cattle. But in the Ukraine it'S not much better :(

  • poor kids, poor country, these guys have no future. sad stuff. Whats up with the commie leader? Didnt he see how bad it is?

  • russian ocupation did this, to bad thay are people brainwashed like Ancutamerkelé ruskies go back! russian army go home!

  • Unite with motherland Romania and you' ll live better!Unirea face puterea, frati moldoveni!

  • Tu madre

  • @MondoBeno

There's also mafia, wich stops any evolution.

Shell (gas station) tryied to enter Moldavia, and they imediately closed it becaue the mafia tax was to high.

    Also a LOT of coruption.

  • If our government wants to fight terror and international crime, then Obama should send Amerlcans to teach English and computers to these kids, so they can get good jobs when they're adults.

  • Unite with Romania will make ther lives bether.
