I've owned this game for 16 years, and up until this morning, I've never beaten this boss without cheating (jumping in at an angle so he can't move). Difficult, and satisfying.

funny this game came with the system, and no TG-16 game ever topped it graphics. Some shooters came close, like Aero Blasters and R-type.......WOW how the hell did I remember that? lol

i discovered this glitch accidently when i was 10yrs old. hahaa. I thought the hole was a death pit, then realized I couldnt go further. walked into boss pit, and he aint fighting back. haha

I'm wondering the same thing, though I learned of the Glitch through a TurboGrafx-16 Strategy Guide I have, which was made in 1990, so apparently the Glitch had been known around the games' release in 1989...

Easy glitch for final boss.

Instead of droppin straight down. Jump across the hole until you touch the wall. Then walk off ledge into final boss pit.

The boss will be there, but he wont attack you. Easy kill

I have posted up a video demonstrating this glitch, also. It's under the name "Keith Courage in Alpha Zones - Robo Zone (Glitch Method)." I've pretty much been aware of that technique several months before I recieved this game that came with a TurboGrafx-16 a friend gave to me.

Yes. The Alpha Sword is the longest weapon in the game, and therefore cannot be longer that it.

Actually, I had a plan for demostrating them for one of my videos much before you've suggested that I should make that purchase. Their proper name is Bolt Bombs, but as I have stated before, I can beat the game without the bombs' usage.

yeah I know you can use the glitch now on the final boss to beat it I may do that also if I get the game as soon as it's on goes up for sale in the wii game shop but I may have to get a SD card 1st because I used up all the space on the wii and I can save the game on the SD they're just like the gamecube memory cards but only for the games you get on the wii

Thanks man, brings me back to my old gaming days. I never could make it past Level 4. Until one day I (barely) made through to level 5 but had taken so long to get there that I had to stop playing anyways since I had spent the ENTIRE day getting there. LOL
