great track,i'm in my 40's,this takes me back to the big parties at the hordern pavilion, sydney,AUSTRALIA,back in the late 80's,lol:). So much good music out there,i have other styles i like too,eg,rock,punk,ska,alternative,world.... There was a definite 'tribal' feel to the parties,a unifying shared experience full of joy and love:)
This is awesome man. Pryda is a big influence on the music i produce. I'm trying to get better and better at it, any advice is welcomed if you listen to my stuff!
@3rddecade what am i ignoring? The groundbreaking importance of this worthless shit for the human rasse? Come on... Everyone has his own taste in music and i accept that. But please... Don't say this is good music. This are computer produced electronic beats without any meaning or soul. It's just a shame, that this is stlll considered under the trem music.
@Nirvaaanaa Your pretty good at drumming and I respect that you can sort of comprehend musical skill as a musician but so much skill goes into making a track like this, arrangement, progression equalisation etc Its not just like having a guitar a bass and a kit. You have to make sure everything flows together perfectly and that the melodies are perfect. Plus you need a decent amount of keys skill.
@Nirvaaanaa Musicians from the rock genre have started to appreciate electronica music more now because they can appreciate how difficult it can be, I make both instrumental music and electronic and both are equally as hard but both as enjoyable. You should look into electronic music some more man, people are starting to realise that computer music isn't just a mac and a drum machine
@Olie23231 yea... think you'r right. but i still think, that there must be some sort of performing on stage. a way to put your heart into it when you play live. you just plug in your iPod and thats it.
@Nirvaaanaa Its harder than you'd think to perform live, much harder than playing a guitar etc. You have to eq every channel, mix tracks perfectly and encorporate different unique elements to give the performance life. Also seeing house music live is incredible, especially when seeing someone like deadmau5 or pryda. Artists also try to make their live shows more enjoyable. Check out deadmau5' light cube and pryda's 3D show called "Epic." The hardest part is soul and emotion, near damn impossible
@Nirvaaanaa The fact that it takes a lot of skill to produce EDM at prydas level. First of all, to program the synths takes a lot of technical skill and knowledge within that area. Creating a sound like Pryda does with a software synth from scratch is incredibly tough and takes a lot of time to learn, and even if you know a lot about the softsynth it doesn't automatically make you a good houseproducer. It's like saying that if you know a lot about the guitar you're automatically a good player.
@Nirvaaanaa And about the nonsense about house music not having any soul, I don't see why it has less soul than any other genre of music. Sure, he doesn't play any instruments in the song, what he does is composing. He puts together this entire track, just like Mozart put together his symphonies, and Mozart didn't have to make all the sounds of the instruments himself, did he? ;)
@Nirvaaanaa A great thing about house music is the progression, the progressive house tunes start from nothing, then they slowly add more sounds and more intensity to the track and build up a massive pressure on the dancefloor so the crowd goes mental when the track hits climax. This music makes me feel good, and a lot of people love to dance to it, and I am sure that Prydz puts down a lot of effort to make every song perfect, and what's more soulful than genuine happiness and dancing?
@Nirvaaanaa Besides, you can't really say that you accept other people's tastes when you bash the genre for being objectively soulless, meaningless, and bad music objectively.
@Nirvaaanaa If you ever got off your arse and actually tried to make a track as complicated as this you'd learn how hard it is to make "computer music" as it is horribly labelled. House music is groundbreakingly important, as right now it is the most important genre of music in the world. House is new and fresh and it's in it's beginning stages, so much can be done with it and those pure geniuses that have harnessed the talent to make great tracks are being pushed forth as legends
@testpipedh22a I like dubstep (some, most is garbage but thats the same with prog house, techno electro, pop, hiphop, rock etc), Am I still entitled to fucking love this?
@brandonmau5 not anymore man he sold out. I just can't like Deadmau5 when little "shuffler kids" in my classes that call Deadmau5 "electro" like him also.
@eleckson that is VERY true. when deadmau5 comes to town i probably wont go, but when eric comes ill go crazy cause i know only people who appreciate this music will know about it and go, it will be sick
@roskildahphreak its the overall feeling of the track. Its feels like your travelling through something vast and amazing, going to somewhere you have never experienced. Truly an incredible track, just like all of his others.
@steveyw1 i will be sure to check out stuff under cirez d but the one that makes him is pryda... anything that has pryda next to it sounds like a produce of a genius
