I am so glad that I found your videos! I would be lost in this liberal California without the support of the rest of the Conservative Voice of the USA!
I'm aware that you try to do your homework when it comes to politics and I happen to agree with your assessment of the remaining candidates.. nevertheless, I don't see how McCain is the one who will lead our country in the right direction, in my opinion he is no conservative.. the best thing John McCain has going for him is Hillary and Obama, one of those two guarantees to rally true conservatives as well as so called moderates around him if he continues to get traction in upcoming primaries.
No, he didn't. Ron Paul is not the man for the job. 0 out of 350 bills as a congressman that he has tried to push through have failed, only five have made it to congress and not one passed. He is considered a POOR congressmen in relation to his peers. So stop trying to shovel this ignorance that he is anything but a passionate individial. passion does not lead a nation, passion gets you nothing.
You make way too many assumptions for your own good. Im not a Mccain supporter. Im voting Romney... and you know what? Yeah,if it takes 100 years to get the job done, thats what it takes. Your bleeding sissy all over the ground.
I have no more words for you. Have fun when your country turns to shit. The US doesn't derserve a good president because most of the people are too ignorant to think and yes the war is illegal.
I really wish that McCain would get out of the race but I know that he won't. Ann Coulter (GOD bless her) was asked,if it came down to McCain and Hillary, who would she want to win? She said "It doesn't matter". Or maybe it was Guliani and H. I just can't get excited about anyone except maybe Fred. Everyone says he got in too late. Am I the only one who thinks everyone else got in too soon?
I know we have to support the nominee as republicans but as a conservative I am very uneasy at the idea of Mccain being it. Someone should drop out because conservatives are being split and Mccain is prospering from it.
is McCain pro-life? he has flip flopped so many times I can't keep track.. as far as I know he is still in favor of embryonic stem cell research and he has specifically said, on more than one occasion, that he opposes overturning Roe v. Wade..
most conservatives believe the biggest domestic success of Bush's first term were his tax cuts.. John McCain voted against them, more than once, before finally flip flopping and voting for them this year..
McCain teamed up with Ted Kennedy to propose a bill that rewards illegal aliens by allowing them to stay in the US permanently after they pay a modest fine, brings in hundreds of thousands of new guest workers, and does almost nothing to enforce immigration law or prevent new illegal aliens from entering our country..
just as Republicans in Congress were about to step in and put an end to the Democratic filibusters of judges once and for all, John McCain and the rest of the "Gang-Of-14" stepped in with a deal that kept the filibuster alive.. furthermore, the Gang-of-14 deal no longer applies so now Democrats in the Senate can start filibustering again..
the McCain-Feingold Campaign Finance Reform Bill, which was one of the worst pieces of legislation to make it through Congress in the last decade unconstitutionally curbed free speech, protected incumbents, gave a fund raising edge to the Democrats, and opened up the door to regulating bloggers..
John McCain proposed the McCain-Lieberman Stewardship Act, that is not all that different from the Kyoto Protocol.. McCain's bill would do cataclysmic damage to our economy in the name of cutting greenhouse gas emissions.. would you support a Republican candidate for President who pledged to sign America on to Kyoto Protocol? If not, then why support John McCain, who wants to do almost the same thing under a different name?
TheFeasterBunny: Thank you for that comment. However, I am for amnesty for those that have served or are serving in our military. If someone is willing to put their life on the line for our country they have earned being a American.
JHBowden: It is sad what the Clintons are doing. But this is nothing new as you well know. That is why she is the democrat winner. They know what they can get away with. Which is pretty much everything.
McCain is my #2 behind Fred Thompson, There is not a true fiscal, social and foreign policy conservative besides Fred Thompson in the race. All the other candidates have a history of being liberal on some things.
if you want a liberal for president then McCain is your man, he sides with the left on most key issues.. remember the McCain-Feingold Campaign Reform Act and don't forget it was McCain who approached John Kerry about potentially filling the Vice President slot on the Democratic ticket in 2004.. John McCain's radical views on immigration are even more far left than most democrats, predictably his resolve to stop illegal immigration will be as worthless as that of our current administration..
I'm a social, economic and foreign policy conservative, and I am strongly supporting John McCain because we are at war and he has the experience to win.
Frankly, some of McCain's liberal positions really frustrate and anger me. I don't see him taking it away on the general election but we will see. Good points Lonnie.
Well I Wouldn't say theres no problem with the republican side lol...There have been many back and forth remarks snipes about lil things between Romney, Huckabee and McCain, He said-He said type of attacks, especially during the debates in janurary, but i guess in the past week or so its been tame
benjie2429: They are debating the issues. That is not a problem. Thats good. We need to know where the candidates stand on the issues and what they have said. On the democrat side Hillary and her husband a telling out right lies about Obama and bringing up things about his past. Watch my video on "Hillary beats Obama on the issues". Hillary's husband even said there was voting problems in Nevada. They seem to always have problems with voting.
true but i try not to listen to alot of the gossip talk between campaigns with pundits but i spend more time looking at the debates where both sides are have made disrespectful swipes at their opponets like that one debate where almost all the candidates were ganging up on Mitt Romney, I believe it was the Abc Debate right before Newhampshire primary...
i Don't support Mitt romney but when they make lil attacks to be funny like what McCain and Huckabee did during the debate to be funny than its just stupid..Mitt's not innocent either because he's done the same in his ads as well..
long time no see..havent checked out your info in a while...Yea its wild how all the pundits writ him off its all based on the polls..The problem with commentators and pundits on these news channels are that they take all the polls as votes..If folks would just take the polls as a representation of what folks think and not what actual votes will be
I cant stand Romney, I think you give him too much credit from Michigan...thats his home turf, his dad was the governor and ran the car companies. My opinion Romney is that I dont think anyone could be more fake...he really goes by the polls. I dont think he connects to the middle class, heres a super rich guy telling me about my problems? He never worked an honest day of his life! Im with McCain!
It is obvious you are a WAR MONGER and LOVE illegal immigration. Otherwise, you wouldn't be supporting John McCain who co-authored the AMNESTY BILL with Kennedy! Over 70% of Americans want the freebies STOPPED and the influx of illegals stopped, not to mention the fact that they also want the WAR STOPPED. And, it makes me wonder what you do want? If you had to choose between Ron Paul and the Democrats, who would you choose? Ron Paul is the ONLY CANDIDATE who would solve our problems.
Well put and great video Lonnie, and good use of the facts to make a number of key points, including just how off the press has been in this race. Still a lot more to go but a great video! Looking forward to more of your thoughts on this race.
I liked this video because there was just sobering facts in it. Even though Huckabee and Thompson are done they will stay until Super Tuesday since it's not that far away. Huckabee doesn't have the money or organization to win Florida so his momentum has died for good. If Huck dropped out now and endorsed McCain, McCain would be a lock for the nomination. It wont happen so now it between Mitt and McCain. If Rudy wins then it will be a three person race again.
They keep saying "Mac is Back;" well, I never thought he left! He's a good man, and while I think every major Republican is a good choice, I believe that if I wanted anyone else besides by guy (Mike Huckabee), it would be Senator McCain.
Excellent breakdown on the primaries Lonnie! I just hope Fred does better in super Tuesday and that John McCain and Ron Paul fall to the bottom! Go Fred Go! 5 stars Lonnie!
Mike Huckabee claims Fred slump him. No, Mike slumped himself. Cause Fred stomped through as hard as he could. Third place is not bad and he will still win this.
Fred Thompson win this one, but don't count him out yet! He still has some strength in the race. Mitt Romney won Michigan and Nevada. John McCain won cause of his military experience and the power of the Independent Democrat Joe Lieberman. We'll see in SUPER TUESDAY, thanks Lonnie. The video is awesome.
Excellent synopsis and commentary Lonnie, thanks for keeping us informed. For those like me who are still undecided on which republican to back, your posts are essential.
You're right. Fred Thompson will continue until Super Tuesday, and if he doesn't do too well, he'll drop out of the race. If Giuliani doesn't win Florida, he'll definitely win a lot of states on Super Tuesday (California, NY, NJ, and so on). The more liberal states with moderate Republicans will choose Giuliani.
Nothing, but I weak argument could be that the vast maj. of americans who are pro war get their views in part from their own religeon, ie freedom, ie faith which they feel strongly they must defend. I would argue that despite popular thinking this is mighty, mighty shady. oh, and wars are friggin expensive. hence, not fiscal conserv. Ron paul, however loony is right on this acct.
I will support whoever our nominee is but McCain scares me, he doesn't get it right, he doesn't inspire hope, he won't secure the borders and he just seems tired.
I still want Fred in office but, I could support John or Mitt. All I want from a president is secure borders not a new immigration bill, a self reliant Iraq not a civil war, businesses back in America not in Asia and Gulf of Mexico Texas tea not Saudi black gold. Other than that I'm middle class and American, which means politicians can't give me anything I don't earn myself.
Gosh, I hope so. Maybe I'm just CRAZY, but I still have hope for Thompson. :/
He worked really hard in S.C.and only came in third!? I really & truly believe that the media is the general cause for his lacking...and that he & Huck split the conservative Christian votes. (my opinion - but what do I know, right?)
I've NEVER made fun of Paul supporters. In fact I've been talking about the media's biased opinions against MANY of the candidates. Republican AND Democrat.
Get your facts straight before making accusations.
No offense meant. I was just making an observation. I realize that the media has kind of black-listed certain candidates, and not just Paul. Unfortunately, some people attack Paul supporters for saying such a thing, but when it happens to their candidate, then they're in agreement. Hypocrisy is all. Not directed at you, again, no offense meant.
Thanks for clearing that up. I seriously felt attacked, when I've even stated before that I would vote for RP, if it weren't for the war issue. (I support it).
It's a sad story to know our nation will suffer b/c of the media. Fred Thomson, Ron Paul,...heck, even Bill Richardson!! He would've been better than Clinton or Obama for the Dems!!
Agreed. I won't attack someone because of who they support, unless of course someone attacks me first. I will however attack the candidate's positions and policies. I'd agree that Thompson would be much better than Mccain and especially Mike "Amend the Constitution to God's Standards" Huckabee. But, of course, regardless of who's the nominee, I'll either be voting for or writing in Ron Paul. Let's just pray Clinton doesn't get it.
Thanks for the review of these important races. I am not a McCain fan for a few reasons ie McCain-Feingold and the gang of 14 debacale and his votes against the tax cuts. Hope to see someone else running for president
Who are you kidding, they're all conservative christians. I long for the day when conservatives are athiests who actually lower our national defeceit. Who was the last "conservative" to do that? This is a remark to tyeporter mostly. I like McCain in a lot of ways but not his Iraq position.
I see this being a real McCain Romney race. I have been a Romney supporter since the 2006 midterm elections ended. I wanted to get past that election and romney has something that i really like about him. I liked fred but if he would have acted more into this process he could have won SC. I wouldnt mind seeing a Romney Thompson ticket considering those two line up.
I'm soooo over the lack of Republicans in the Republican race.
I've pretty much resolved to ignore everything until Nov.7 and just write in my vote for the one and only Conservative, Christian, Republican available.
Love the hat :)

According to pundits, Hillary will be the Dem choice.
And surveys say she can beat all GOPers, except McCain where it'd be 50/50.
But pundits say if Paul enters as 3rd Party he'll pull more votes from McCain & Hillary will be President.
IF FOX CONTINUES TO SCREW PAUL IN FAVOR OF MCCAIN, I SAY WE ENCOURAGE PAUL TO RUN IN 3RD PARTY.

Thanks for the update, Sir.
